Millie and Moxxie were no strangers to disagreements. Working together in the chaotic world of IMP, clashes of opinion were almost inevitable. However, their latest fight escalated further than usual, leaving a lingering tension between them.

It had all started with a simple misunderstanding during a mission. Moxxie, eager to prove himself, had taken matters into his own hands, disregarding Millie's suggested plan. This reckless decision resulted in a botched operation and a mountain of paperwork for them to fix. Millie was furious, feeling like Moxxie had undermined her expertise.

As the next day rolled in, the office was filled with an uncomfortable silence. Millie aggressively filled out forms, her pen scratching the paper with pent-up frustration. Moxxie, on the other hand, tried to avoid eye contact with her, his guilt weighing heavily on his heart.

Unable to take the tension any longer, Millie slammed her pen down on the desk, startling Moxxie. "Why did you go against my plan, Moxxie? We could have avoided this entire mess!" she shouted, her voice laced with anger and hurt.

Moxxie hesitated for a moment, his own voice trembling with regret. "I... I thought I could handle it, Millie. I wanted to prove that I could be more than just the 'incompetent' one," he admitted, his gaze downcast.

Millie's anger softened slightly as she saw the vulnerability in Moxxie's eyes. She took a deep breath, trying to find the right words to express her frustration without causing further harm.

"Moxxie, I understand that you want to prove yourself, but we're a team. We have to trust each other's expertise, and making unilateral decisions only leads to disaster," she explained with a tinge of sadness in her voice. "I need to know that you respect my knowledge and experience."

Moxxie looked up, the weight of his mistake heavy on his shoulders. "Millie, I'm so sorry. I never meant to undermine you or your abilities. You're incredible at what you do, and I should have trusted your plan," he confessed, his voice full of remorse.

A moment of silence settled between them, broken only by the muffled sounds of distant phone calls and the soft hum of the air conditioner. Millie's features softened, and she reached out to gently touch Moxxie's hand.

"I forgive you, Moxxie," she said, her voice filled with warmth. "Let's work on this together, learn from our mistakes, and become an even stronger team."

Moxxie's expression softened, relief washing over him. He nodded, a grateful smile playing on his lips. "Thank you, Millie. I truly appreciate your forgiveness. And I promise, from now on, I won't let my ego get in the way."

And just like that, as the tension slowly dissipated, they found solace in their renewed understanding of each other. The weight of their disagreement lifted, replaced by a newfound connection and a stronger bond.

As the rest of the day unfolded, they worked side by side, exchanging glances filled with unspoken apologies and promises of growth. With every shared laugh and subtle touch, Millie and Moxxie realized that sometimes, conflicts can pave the way for something beautiful—a deeper connection built on trust, understanding, and the willingness to learn and grow together.
