Years have passed by; Samson is now a little older and knows about more stuff now. He still lives with his uncle Frank and somehow he really likes the way he lives, even though it isn't the best way. Sam wasn't educated like many good kids out there, he surely learned things that he shouldn't have learned, and it is Frank's fault, since he wanted to educate Sam in his own different and special way. Still, Sam knows distinguish good from wrong. Frank hasn't told his nephew about his dirty job of kidnapping lost kids in the streets; he thinks Samson shouldn't know about that, and so, he keeps that as a secret until now.
And has Sam changed a lot all this years? Well, besides the way his brain works now because of the way he got educated, some more things changed as well. Frank thinks his brother has lied to him when he told him that Samson is a "very calm child". When Sam got older, he got absolutely energetic. It is hard to shut him up sometimes, or make him stop running around the house... or even to stop him from almost hurting other kids... Well, Sam is only trying to live his life the best he can, and Frank likes that in him, however Sam is dangerous in specific situations that seem fun to him. So, to make sure he doesn't hurt someone or does something really bad, Frank tells him to stay inside their house, and he can only leave and play outside once Frank is done from work and is home. That rule must be followed, otherwise Sam won't leave the house ever again.
Sam is now on the couch, watching an adult cartoon Frank has showed him before. He is waiting for his uncle to get home, so he can go outside, but he is still having fun watching the cartoon. After long minutes, the door opens and Frank gets inside. He has two bags on his hand: one of them is the usual brown bag which is very heavy and sometimes even moves. Sam doesn't know what that bag could have inside, he always thinks it is some animal that later, when he goes to sleep, runs away from the house. The other bag is colorful and has something written there, but Sam couldn't read from the couch. Frank goes to the basement and places the brown bag there. He leaves and locks the basement's door, and right after that, he goes to Samson.
"Don't leave the house yet, little dude. I have something to show you." - Frank tells Sam.
"What's in that bag, uncle Frank? Is it a weapon? Oh, maybe an electric chair? Do you want to kill someone?!" - Sam makes all this questions while smiling to his uncle and kicking his feet.
"Who the hell taught you those aggressive wor... oh, nervermind." - Frank says, laughing a little. - "I will open this bag. I used to eat a lot of this when I was a kid."
Sam reads what was written in the bag: "Candy Club". So, that bag has candies. Frank opens the bag and Sam was admired by all the candies that were inside the bag. How much money did his uncle waste in that?
"Oh, candies! Can I finally eat one already?" - Sam asks his uncle.
"Yeah. Today is the day your life will change for <good> to <sweet>, trust me." - Frank says as he takes a piece of chocolate and gives it to Sam.
"Oh, I am so ready!"Sam eats the chocolate; he eats a candy for the first time. He is in love with the flavor, it is so sweet and tasty. Sam looks at his uncle with an even bigger smile, and says:
"I want more."
Frank laughs and nods. He gives Sam more candies, but he doesn't give the entire bag. He makes sure to not make Sam addicted to candies. He puts the candies in the fridge and sits on the couch with his nephew, and they watch the adult cartoon together.
Some minutes pass, and Frank notices how Sam hasn't left the house to play. Those candies maybe made him change his mind for today.
"Aren't you going to play outside today, Samson?"
"Nah, I am fine here now. And... I don't think people would like me to play with them." - Sam answers.
"Why do you say that? Is it because you're a little aggressive sometimes?"
"Probably yes. I also like to play on my own sometimes, so I won't hurt anyone." - Sam says smiling, showing his uncle that such thing doesn't make him sad.
"That's good, then."
Sam and Frank keep watching the cartoon. Sam always makes funny comments or says things with no context, and Frank just lets him do that, as it doesn't bother him. Then, he remembers that he is almost six years old; soon he needs to go to school.
*Shit... I forgot about school. I haven't told him what exactly school is, so he probably wouldn't mind to go there.* - Frank thinks to himself.
"Hey, Samson. Your birthday is in a week." - Frank begins to talk again.
"Yes! Are you going to give me something really big? Maybe a bike? I would like to learn how to ride one!" - Sam speaks with energy.
"Yeah, yeah... We'll see." - Frank says. - "There is a place you will have to go in september, you know?"
"A place? PRISON?!"
"WHAT?! NO!" - Frank answers shocked. - "School, Samson. I have told you about school, didn't I?"
"Oh, yes. I will learn way more things in there, right? Seems fun but hard."
"It is hard if you don't do an effort. So, give your best once you go to school."
"Will I receive candy if I be a good student?" - Sam asks smiling, waiting for a yes as an answer.
"Yes, sure..." - Frank sighs smiling as well.
"You can count on me to do that, then! I will not disappoint you, uncle Frank, I refuse to do such thing!"
"I like the way you talk, you know?" - Frank says laughing, as he pats his nephew's head.
"Will I receive a bike for my birthday?" - Sam changes the topic.
"Okay, enough. Shut up and watch the cartoon." - Frank says, and then laughs along with his nephew.
The weeks were passing. Sam is now six years old; lucky for him, he gained a bike for his birthday, just like he wished. He learned how to ride it until the end of his time out of school. Frank has successfully put Sam in a basic public school; fortunately, he could put his nephew in the school nearest to their house. Samson is quite nervous, he hopes he will make few friends and be a good student, but he is scared to fail his uncle. As for Frank, the school would make his time on the dirty job much easier, now that Sam was occupied with something and wouldn't be worried about his uncle that much like before.
School started; Frank left Samson at the entrance in his van and wished him good luck. Sam really hopes this first day would go well to him. Once the bell rings, Sam tries to find his class, but it was difficult; he didn't know exactly where to go, so he followed a random kid. That kid was a little uncomfortable with Sam behind them, but they tried to ignore it. Sam enters inside a room with many more students. Every table had a paper with the name of the student, so Sam decided to find his name. His seat was at the back of the room, however he didn't really want to sit in the back. So he goes to one of the kids at the front and asks if they can switch seats.
"Hey, can you sit at the back in my seat? I want to be near to the teacher." - Sam asks the kid.
"No, I want to be here." - The kid answers normally.Sam gets upset for not getting what he exactly wants; he wants to sit at the front to make sure he pays attention to everything he is about to learn for years. He was actually about to hurt the kid who refused to switch seats, but before he could do that, a girl that also sits at the front of the room called him:
"Hey, you can have my seat. I don't mind sitting at the back of the room."
"Oh... thank you." - Sam says smiling to her.
So Sam sits on the seat he wished for. He read the name of the girl before sitting on her seat: Ivy. Sam is interested in be friends with her; later he will try to talk with her again.
The teacher walks in and welcomes all the students. Each student introduced themselves, including Samson. He might be ready to start learning and to be the good student he promised he would be.
At recess, Sam tried to find Ivy, wanting to be his friend, but before he could find her, the kid who has refused the seat in the class, came to Samson with an angry expression.
"I know what you were going to do. Are you a bully?" - The kid says in an angry tone.
"Bully? I have no idea what is that." - Samson answers.
"Oh, are you dumb? It's fine, school exists for people like you." - The kid says ironically. - "You were about to punch me. I saw it."
Sam started to be upset again with that kid, but he tried to contain himself right now.
"Fine, maybe I was. Sorry about that." - Sam says with an angry tone as well now. - "Now leave me alone, I am looking for someone."
"Do you think you rule here? I am not letting you go before you apologize to me correctly, like a good colleague and student."
"Oh, you want a good colleague? Alright!" - Sam says before slapping the kid's face.
Kids at the recess start to get away from what was happening there, and others started to look closely. Sam was trying to leave that kid, with the intention of being alone and find Ivy, but the kid kept getting closer. They were now trying to hit Sam as well.
*What the hell this piece of garbage wants? Their mommy?* - Sam thinks to himself a little stressed.
He punches the kid which makes them fall on the floor and start bleeding from his nose. The kid begins to cry and more kids come to look at what was happening. Sam just leaves and tries to find Ivy, but it seems that she was closer than what he thought. Ivy was watching the situation and she was scared to get near Sam. Each step Sam takes forward, Ivy takes two steps back.
"Ivy, listen... I wanted to tell..."
"No, no... Samson, don't hit me, please." - Ivy interrupts him, scared.
"What?! No, I'm not going to hurt you. I actually want to be friends with you."
"No, Samson. I can't... I can't be your friend. Please, just..." - Ivy was trying to speak but she was scared Sam could do something to her. - "Sorry, okay? But I don't want to."
Ivy leaves without saying anything more; and as she leaves, more kids leave Samson as well. Sam doesn't say anything to make Ivy come back, he just lets her leave. He was too nervous to say anything. As he turns back to the kid he punched, he sees an adult near the kid, looking at Sam with an irritated look.
*Great...* - Sam thinks upset.
