"22nd street.. this should be it." I mumbled to myself as I got off my car, clutching the calling card that my friend gave me.

I stood there scanning the black house in front of me, feeling a little anxious about my decision.

"Okay, this is it." I compose myself and start walking to his door. The wooden floor creaked as I stepped into his veranda.

There's no door bell so I knocked slowly on his door hoping that I would not disturb him. 10 minutes had passed but still there's no response, so I knock again this time much louder. "Hello? Is anyone home?" I yelled, trying to peek at the glass on his door.

"Hello? Mr.--"

"What do you want?" He said with no emotion in his voice.

"Good Evening Mr. Tomlinson, my name is Ellie Johnson." I said and he just looked at me with a slightly annoyed face.

"I know it's very late and you're not expecting me. But please, I need your help." I begged but still no response from him.

"Please. I wouldn't be in here at this time if it's not that important. Please sir."

We stood there just staring at each other until he breaks his eye contact.

"Come in." He said shortly, opening the door for me.

The inside of his house is what I expected it to be: dark and creepy. There's this vibe that you will feel sad and lonely at the same time you will feel scared like there's someone watching you.

"So? You're just going stand there?" Mr. Tomlinson said.

When I look at him, he's already sitting comfortably on his, as usual, black couch. So I sat on the sofa in front of him.

"Okay, why are you here?" He said boringly.

"My friend recommended you.." I said nervously while he gave me the you-are-wasting-my-time look.

"Th.. there's.. this entity following me.. I don't know what it wants, we've tried to contact and get rid of it but it just made it worst. Two of my friends are already dead.." I started sobbing.

"I just don't know what to do anymore." I added covering my face with my hands.

Minutes have passed but still he hasn't said anything. So I dried my tears and looked at him, he just sat there staring at me.

"Sorry, I can't help you." He said blankly. I stood up.

"But my friend told me that you are good at this things. She assured me that you can help me." I said my voice getting a little louder than usual. He stood and walk closer to me.

"No. I've quit that job a long time ago and I never planned on going back. Not now, not ever." He said firmly.

"But please.." I begged.

"No! I said no!" He yelled and looked away. I was taken a back with the tone of his voice and I guess he knew that so he sent me away.

"You should go home, go now. It's already late." He said, his voice softer.

My tears started to fall again. I feel helpless and weak.

"Thank you for your time sir." I mumbled.

I was about to walk away when the lights suddenly flicker and the whole place was quiet for a moment. I started to back away slowly and move closer to Louis but before I even get closer to him.

"AAAAAHHHHH!!"

The lights blew out one by one, the picture frames and paintings on the walls fell. I can hear glasses from the kitchen falling and smashing as well.
