So everyone knows Sally only made blue food to piss Smelly Gave off, but I have this idea where Percy decides to further push him by dying his own hair blue. Percy thinks that the color blue in general irratates him so he takes it a step farther by mixing it into his hair wash so it will be subtle, only really being noticable in the direct sunlight.
It grows on him and becomes his favorite color.
Bonus: Everyone else thinks it is a natural gift since he is the son of a sea god. They only later find out that he uses dye when Annabeth borrows his shampoo once and her blonde hair isn't so blonde anymore.
