Screams ran through the Kibutsuji residence, a young man, no older than 15 screamed at his servants. "No! He's not dead! Give me the baby!", as he screamed, blood fell from his lips to his chin, soft violet eyes widen with fright. His name was Akira, the heir to the Kibutsuji clan.
His eyes scanned the room, landing on the basket in the middle, his stillborn child laying in it. "You can't! Don't you dare!", he screamed, a few servants holding the sick man back. "Kibutsuji-sama, calm down!" Akira didn't budge, sobbing. He'd just spend god knows how long trying to birth his child out, he's not going to let him die!
"No! He's not dead!", he sobbed, gasping for air as another man held him. "Akira-san, please slow your breathing," he whispered, slowly letting the other sit on his knees. "Chimon..." he sobbed, hugging the taller one.
The man -Chimon- gently hushed him. "Please calm down," he muttered, holding the smaller gently.
Then, as the monk lowered the torch, the baby let out a sharp cry, which made everyone freeze. Akira looked up, gasping. Tears streamed down his pale cheeks, then he screamed at his servants. "What are you waiting for?!"
The servants quickly got up and grabbed the baby, wrapping him in cloth and gave him to Akira.
Another boy, about a year younger than Akira, ran towards him. "Aniki!", he gasped, sitting next him.
Akira chuckled and smiled at him. "Hello, Kagaya," he mumbled tiredly, holding the sleeping baby against his chest.
Kagaya looked at him. "Are you okay...?", he muttered, sitting on his knees and placing his hands in his lap.
Akira smiled softly. "I'm alright," he kissed the baby's head. "Just... tired."
Kagaya frowned, staring at his brother with a concerned look.

A young boy, Akira, lay on his bed. He stared at the ceiling, frowning softly. He wasn't ready for this. But he had to, he supposed. It was his duty, as some called it.
But in Akira's eyes, it didn't feel like duty, more like forced labour. Yet, he couldn't disagree, simply waiting for a husband to bear an heir for the Kibutsuji clan.
The Shitomi³ doors slid open, revealing a servant. "Kibutsuji-sama, Jinja-san has arrived, shall I lead him to you?", he asked, bowing down to the other.
Akira simply nodded, turning to the door as the servant went to get his future husband. How fun.
A few minutes had passed, and the Shitomi doors opened, showing Akira's husband -Jinja Chimon-.
The man was good looking, hair in the motodori⁴ hairstyle, wide trousers and a loose shirt, which was tied at the waist with a rope. The man looked older than Akira himself, as Akira was 11, this man would be around 20⁵.
Akira gulped, the taller's icey blue eyes staring at him. It made him nervous.
The servant was long gone, and Akira slightly turned to Chimon with a nervous smile. He lightly bowed down, shaking slightly in fear of the other. "H-hello, Jinja-sama," Akira stuttered, fists clenching in his lap.
Chimon then spoke, his voice was deep. "Kibutsuji-sama," he bowed down as he spoke. Akira nodded softly, lips trembling as he sat on his futon.
"I-it is nice to meet you, Jinja-sama," he spoke softly. The taller simply hummed, standing up and walking closer to him.

Akira gasped, looking around the room. "W-where's-", he yelped when he felt a large hand on his own. "J-ji- Chimon-san...?", the shorter mumbled, confused as he looked around. "What happened?"
Chimon hummed. "You fainted when you were feeding Tsukihiko," the taller said. "Are you alright? You seem paler than usual."
Akira gulped softly, then looking around again. He sighed in relief as he saw Tsukihiko peacefully sleeping. "Yes... I suppose the stress got me," he frowned, long hair cascading over his shoulders.
Chimon nodded, gently holding the other. "Calm down, okay? Stress isn't good."
After a few minutes, Akira sniffed, which had caught Chimon's attention.
"Akira-san, what's the matter?", he asked gently, caressing Akira's back. The other looked pale, and afraid of something.
"I... Chimon..."
"Yes?"
"I-I got... Raped..."

¹ Heian-kyō was one of several former names for the city now known as Kyoto. It was the official capital of Japan for over one thousand years, from 794 to 1868 with an interruption in 1180.
² Heijō-kyō was the Capital of Japan during most of the Nara period, from 710 to 740 and again from 745 to 784.
³ Shitomi (蔀), also called hajitomi (半蔀) are square-lattice shutters or doors found on older-style Japanese buildings. They are characteristic of the Shinden style, and the Heian Period (794-1185).
⁴ The motodori was the standard hairstyle for men, particularly the nobility, during the Heian period. The long hair would be pulled up in a type of topknot at the back of the head and wrapped around into a thin, upward turned bunch.
⁵ Noble boys in the Heian Period would marry around 11 to women that were around a decade older for political reasons, however, as in this fanfiction Akira has female reproductive organs, he is supposed to marry Chimon.
