No one's POV:
The nation's best idols, Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru. At the age of 18 they were both in the most famous companies. They don't work together, but they are known as the 'top two'. Why? Because they compete each other as every song release hits number one in Japan, the other release is one in exchange, also taking the top. They are - or should I say was - best friends, and they were the two friends that were extremely popular.
Now, they are rivals, determined to be the top.
—
"No way." Geto
Says, complaining to his manager, Mei Mei. "I'm not going to the event. I bet Gojo Satoru would go. Bleh." He slumps onto his sofa. Mei Mei sighs.
"You have to go. It'll make you get more popularity, you'd be interacting with more celebrities." She says while tapping on her iPad.
"I dont want to see Sator-Gojo." He rolls his eyes. "He'll cause a ruckus."
"You guys used to be so close, you know."
"Yeah, but now we aren't."
"I swear at some point you dated-"
"For the last time, we did not." Geto grits his teeth.
However, they did actually date. For a couple months. No one really knew except for Shoko.
"But that's all in the past." Gojo sighs, all the way on the other side of the country. Fun fact, they were having hte same conversation. "It was way back in high school! Listen, Shoko, i dont hold feelings for Geto anymore." Shoko raises an eyebrow as if she didn't believe him.
"..we are literally rivals, Shoko."
"Yeah yeah. I had an idea. A bet, actually." Gojo pops a sweet in his mouth and motions for her to continue. "I want you to team up with Suguru-"
"Absolutely not." Gojo shuts her down immediately. "Not in a million years."
"Come on, if you two work together, you could practically be the duo of the century." With their powers combined, the whole world could drop at their feet.
"You point?" Satoru leans on his chair, lifting up the two front legs. "What's the bet?"
"There's going to be a special interview for you two that's after the event.it'll be really good for you. You know that really famous show by the Star Plasma company? They wanted you two, the top in japan. And it really benefits us because you two are fluent in English." Satoru frowns, not really liking the idea of him and his rival being near each other for not only one, but two events. The show apparently continues the duos if they are good.
'But,' the white haired thinks, 'it'll be good for me and Shoko. And i guess my family.'
"And," Shoko continues. "If you guys become worldwide popular, I'll take off the limits to you and you sweets. If you dont become popular, I'll stop being your manager."
To be honest, the bet was one sided. If Gojo teams up with Geto, there would be an 90% chance that they would become extremely famous. Shoko had barely any advantages.
"Alright. I'll do it. I want my sweets." That was only half true, and Shoko knows it. She smirks and types something into her phone.
"Okay, I'll confirm the invitation, then."" She says, not looking up. "Dont regret this." she glances up at him.
"..i wont." He replies, confident but also not.
[meanwhile, geto's side]
"We get popularity, so what?" Geto argues back. "I dont want anything to do with gojo."
Mei Mei sighs again, not wanting to deal with this early in the morning. She decided it was quite impossible to convince him without help. She immediately scrolled through her contacts to find Shoko Ieiri.
And that, my dear readers, is the start to the journey of the idols Geto Suguru and Gojo Satoru, and how they ended up together.
