Chapter Two

Bags are packed, train tickets have been purchased and we're on our way to the depot right now. Abigal and I have decided to take the train to Bristol instead of flying since it isn't terribly far. Also, Zachary apparently has some interesting plans for us that he's keeping a secret. Zach has always been an adventurous kind of guy, and he loves to travel. He's already been all over Europe and to the states multiple times. I've begged him to take me along on his prompt to trips, but he always says I'm "too young". Too young my butt he just doesn't want me there while he hits on foreign girls.

Abi and I have our IPods, phones, laptops, and every other electronic device we own packed away so that we won't be jaded the next few hours. We hand our tickets to a grumpy old wench and take our seats. Abi instantly wanted the snack bag we snuck onto he train, but I told her she had to wait at least half an hour before she could start munching. For such a small girl she sure did enjoy her food. I don't think I will ever understand where she puts it all! I guess between track and cross country she stays pretty fit.

" Jayc' can I please have some crisps! I'm dying over here!"

"No, you're bored not hungry. Plug in your headphones and listen to some tunes."

"Fine, but if I die of hunger you better feel guilty." She stick her tongue out at me before plugging in her headphones to listen to some American singers I had never heard of before.

I look over at Abi to see her already asleep. Her wavy, medium length brown hair is thrown up in a messy bun and she didn't wear any makeup today. I don't blame her it just wasn't worth it. Plus, he's so pretty anyways she has no need to wear much. I notice how uncomfortable she looks. She is about 5'9" and has some insanely long legs so she has practically no leg room. I have at least a couple inches of space since my feet barely touch the floor. I'm only 5'2" so when we hang out together we look pretty ridiculous.

I pull out my MacBook and begin watching one of the movies I downloaded for the trip. How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days seemed like a good choice. This is hands down one of my favorite chick flicks of all times. I flag down and attendant and ask her for some water since I'm parched. She walks off and Abigal looks like she arose from the dead.

"Hello sleeping beauty." I smiled over at her as she tries to adjust her position which didn't work so well.

"How long have I been asleep?"

"Eh about two hours I would say."

"Can I have some snacks now!" She asked me suddenly sitting up. I just laughed and threw her a some crackers.

"Thank you Jesus!" She cried out as she ripped open the bag and started inhaling the snack.

"Woah calm yourself! It's not like you've never seen crackers before!"

"Don't judge me." Was her only reply. I just rolled my eyes and went back to my movie. I look back down the aisle to see if the attendant is anywhere in sit since she still has brought me my water! I notice a cute boy, probably about our age, staring at me in a cheeky manner. He has short brown hair and a smile that could make any girl melt. He wore a plaid button up, jeans, and some nice dress shoes. I shot him a smile and turned back around. I nudged Abi.

"Ok don't look now but there is a major cutie two rows back from us." I whispered to us. Ignoring my request to not look back she practically stands up and looks over the back of our seats. She smiles as she sits back down.

"Oh hey he's adorable!" She says way to loudly as I sink into my chair.

"He can hear you!" I hushed her, but she ignored him and slid out of the row and into the aisle. I thought she was going to go talk to him! Thankfully, she was just headed back to the restroom and didn't embarrass me or herself for that matter.

By the time she came back I had already finished my movie.

"What took you so long?"

"Oh nothing, I was just talking to Finn."

"Whose Finn?" I asked giving her a weird look.

"That cute lad behing us!"

"What! How did I not hear you two talking!"

"Well we are on your partially deaf side." In case you didn't know I'm 65% deaf in my left ear. Nothing happened to cause it be that way it's just a birth defect.

"That's true. Did you give him your number?" I smiled becoming interested in her little story.

"No."

"What!"

"I gave him yours." My eyes got really wide and I wasn't sure if I should hug her or smack her.

"Abigal Morrison! What on earth have you done!" I turned around to look at this Finn guy, but he had gotten out of his seat.

"Oh please, you can thank me later."

I really hate that girl sometimes. Before I could do something about all this we pulled up to the dept. The train came to a rough stop. I stuffed my laptop away and picked up my bag. I stood up and stretched my arms above my head. I also laughed at Abi trying to get out of her seat and into the aisle. She tripped over the seats and stumbled into the aisle.

"Don't laugh at me! You have no idea of the struggle!"

"Oh please. At least you can get your bag our of the overhead!" I stretched my arms up while standing on my tiptoes. A long arm reaches behind me and grabs my bag. I turn around to see the boy.

"Here you go love." He smiled at me and handed me my purse.

"Thank you!" I smiled back.

"I'm Finn by the way. Finn Harries"

"Well Finn Harries, I'm Jayce. Jayce Darnell." I smiled and he chuckled.

"Nice to meet you Jayce Darnell. Very nice to meet you."
