An unexpected and delightful friendship was blossoming between Raj and Priya. Raj, usually a straightforward and rugged individual, had never engaged in conversations with girls before. There were plenty of admirers in the office, but his thoughts had never wandered in that direction. However, he was experiencing a unique connection with Priya, possibly due to his internal affinity for people from the south, particularly not the city. Whatever the reason, Raj had grown fond of Priya and found himself loving this beautiful relationship. The days at work passed in a blur, and the sweet talks in the morning and evenings had become a cherished habit for both of them.

They enjoyed each other's company, discussing their lives, families, and interests. Priya appreciated the way Raj spoke and treated her, and she was equally drawn to him. It had been a week of delightful conversations, and they had become more comfortable with each other. Priya, however, hadn't taken the initiative to call Raj yet, choosing instead to maintain the boundary they had set. She was at ease when Raj called her, and their daily exchanges brought a smile to her face.

As the weekend approached, Raj decided it was time to take their connection to the next level. He wanted to meet Priya in person and planned to surprise her near her hostel when she returned from the office. He coordinated with her, confirming her location, and eagerly waited on the way to Mambalam as they spoke on the phone.Priya, unaware of Raj's intentions, was heading to the hostel after a long day at the office. She had no idea Raj would be waiting for her, and it hadn't crossed her mind. As she entered the hostel gate, she suddenly heard a voice calling her name, "Hey Priya, wait."Puzzled, Priya asked, "Why?"Raj replied, "Turn back."Priya turned back, and to her astonishment, she saw Raj standing on the other side of the road, opposite the hostel. A rush of different emotions coursed through her, and she couldn't quite explain what she was feeling.

Raj, dressed in a blue checked shirt and black pants, stood there leaning against his Yamaha, all parked and ready. A Nokia phone was in one hand, a watch on his wrist, and he held the bike's handle in his other hand. He looked eager and excited to see Priya up close.

Priya, in her pastel green salwar with a soft chiffon dupatta neatly pinned in place, wore a pair of gold earrings and a delicate gold chain. She had a watch on one wrist and a bangle on the other. Her maroon slippers matched her outfit, and she carried a small shoulder bag. In one hand, she held her Sony Ericsson phone. Both Raj and Priya were filled with a sense of shyness and hesitance as they faced the prospect of transitioning from comfortable phone conversations to an in-person meeting. The anticipation was palpable as they stood on opposite sides of the road near the hostel gate, about to embark on a new chapter in their developing friendship.
