Bri and Avery woke up again from the alarm on Bri's phone. "Rise and shine, baby!" Avery exclaimed. Bri moaned in annoyance. They didn't wanna wake up so early. So instead, they rolled over to face the other way.

"Oh, Briiii! Wakey wakey, eggs and bakeyyy!" Avery shook them.

"Ugh, 5 more minutes, love," They groaned.

Avery frowned. "Okay," She said. She got out of bed though. They decided to get ready for the day.

When Bri woke up, Avery was in the shower. Bri went to the bathroom to brush their teeth. They left before their girlfriend came out.

When Avery was done showering and all that jazz, Bri hopped in next. They decided to use Avery's conditioner because they loved the way it smelled. Also, they used it for shaving, but that was normal for them.

Bri came out and grabbed the purple towel to dry themselves off. They wiped the bathroom mirror so that they could see themselves better. They kinda wished they didn't though, when they saw their twisted waist.

They almost cried at the sight. But they didn't want to cry before they did their skincare and makeup.

Bri came out after a bit, leaving the door cracked so it could air out. They joined Avery for some breakfast.

It was then when the doorbell rang.

Bri opened it and saw Kennith.

"Hello!" Bri said.

"Hi! Is it fine if I come in?" Kennith asked. He sounded a bit rushed.

"Yeah, of course!" Bri said, beckoning him inside.

"Perfect," Kennith said. He came in and sat on the sofa. He kicked his shoes off, lifted his legs onto the sofa, and took a shaky breath.

"Want some eggs?" Avery asked.

"No thanks, I'm good," Kennith said, waving his hand. He leaned his head back towards the armrest, and propped his arm on it too. Then, he crossed his legs.

"Just... come to me when you can," He muttered.

Soon, the two came from the kitchen and sat down on the loveseat.

"What's up?" Bri asked, taking a bite of scrambled egg.

"Oh, it's just..." He sat up, keeping his arms and legs crossed. "Something's been going on lately... I don't know if you've noticed this, but... I died... and I'm back, in the same body, with all my memories..." He looked down into his lap. "I just don't get it..." He said.

"Me neither," Avery said, sitting up. "You see, I died too. And I'm back, just with bruises..." Avery said.

"Damn. How'd you die?" Kennith asked. Avery pulled her top down a bit, revealing a gunshot wound near her breast. "Oh," Kennith said, nodding.

"Yeah," Avery said, pulling her top back up. "What about you?"

"Suicide," Kennith said, pointing at the scar on his neck. It was deeper than the other scars on his skin, so clearly, that was the one that sealed his fate.

"Oh, right. Suicide," Avery said, nodding.

Bri got up, put their eggs down on the table, and left. Avery looked at them, a bit confused.

When Bri went into the bedroom, they sat down on the bed and shuddered. The conversation that their girlfriend and Kennith were having made them really uncomfortable. It reminded them of when they starved themself close to death. And they hated the idea that their girlfriend indeed did die...

Avery came in the bedroom eventually. "Bri, baby, what's wrong?" She asked, sitting beside them.

"It's nothing. I just, y'know, lost my appetite a bit-" Bri said.

"Bri, you know how bad it is to starve yourself," Avery said, putting her hand on Bri's shoulder.

"I'm not starving myself, I'm just-"

"Don't you remember what happened last time? I was so worried about you..." Avery said.

Bri closed their eyes. Last time, they were so close to death. They had to be hospitalized. And the days before they broke contact with Avery were the last days they got to see her. It hurt so much...

"I was too..." Bri said finally.

"Yeah," Avery said. "I know it hurt you, and it hurts me too, to imagine to see you in such an unhealthy state..."

"I know, but I just can't help it sometimes..." Bri's voice was breaking at this point.

"Don't cry," She said gently, caressing their shoulder.

"I'm not," Bri said. They took a deep breath and calmed down.

"Good." Avery smiled.

"Can I just... stay in here? Your conversation with Kennith's making me uncomfortable..." Bri said.

"Sure," Avery said. "Anything for you. And if you need something, you know I'm always here for you." With that, Avery kissed their forehead and carried on.
