Friday strolled around Champs de Mars. Gazing at all the beautiful people. She stood a hundred meters from the one and only eiffel tower. The architecture was gorgeous. There were details on every inch. She inspected it from afar. She was amazed. Friday wore a dazzling magenta colored beret. Hair out. Her mud brown cardigan and been deposed by Melanie back in norway. Who can blame her. instead she was wearing a beige trench coat. Friday didn't mind it. It could fit all her daily needs in the crazy amount of pockets. She also blended in with everyone else around her. Friday continued her walk. When she came to a halt. Right bang center underneath the eiffel tower. She tilted her head back and looked right up the middle of it. "Wow" whispered Friday. Friday looked back forward and she did a little happy spin. When suddenly something caught her eye. It was a person with staggering blonde hair. She noticed it was a boy. He looked oddly familiar. Suddenly the boy turned around very gracefully. Friday and the boy locked eyes. Then she realized the boy was familiar because it was Ian. She was pretty shocked. It took her brain a few extra seconds to process he was waving at her. Friday walked over to Ian and Smiled. He returned it. Then he took Friday by surprise and wrapped her in a hug. "I'm so glad you're feeling better!" said Ian with a smile. Friday felt like bursting into tears. She had missed her boyfriend so much. Well she wasn't sure if she could call him that. It also wasn't just that. Friday missed Uncle Bernie, Helen and bella. She had taken quite a liking to the little one. "I'm so glad to" Replied Friday. "I hate being trapped". "I know," Said Ian. "But you don't have to worry now". Friday and Ian chatted for a bit. Then Ian took Friday's hand and they wandered around the little stalls people had set up around Champs de Mars. Friday purchased a small silver eiffel tower keychain as a souvenir. "Je t'aime" whispered Ian in Friday's ear. Friday blushed. Her mother and father never really knew how to show love. So this small thing made her feel warm inside. Friday didn't notice the time fly by. She looked down at her watch. "Oh my, I didn't realize the time, '' said Friday. "We should head back". Ian nodded in response. Both walked back to the art school dorm house hand in hand. When they arrived outside the dorm house they let each other's hands go. They couldn't risk being seen together. "What floor are you on?" asked Friday. "Floor four," replied Ian. "six" said Friday. Ian waved goodbye to Friday when they arrived at floor four. And Friday walked up the rest of the two floors. She noticed Melanie waiting outside their dorm room looking disappointed. Then it hit her. She rushed over to Melanie. And frantically started apologizing. "I'm so sorry," said Friday. Friday promised Melanie they would go try the famous pizza around the corner and she totally forgot. "The store is closed now," said Melanie. "You better have a good reason". "I'm so sorry" repeated Friday. "I was with Ian". Melanie's face returned back to normal. "Oh that's fine!" said Melanie cheerfully. " We can just go another time, Now tell me everything". Friday explained everything to Melanie. And after chatting for another house after that. They both decided it was late and they should both head to bed.
PART TWOOO <3
Friday and Melanie were at the top of the staircase and they were both totally out of breath. Friday was bent over hands on her knees. Gasping for air. "Friday?" said Melanie. Friday looked up to see Melanie holding a piece of paper. It was a note. And she was reading it. Friday noticed her name on the front. She leapt forward and snatched the note from Melanie's grip. "Hey!" Melanie said, shocked. "You can't just go and read people's private notes," said Friday firmly. "Oh, well this is awkward," said Sophia from inside the room. Friday glared at her. "Geez, I'm sorry I was curious," said Sophia, unconvincingly. Friday knew it was too late anyways they had both read it. She looked down at the note now sitting in her hands. On the front had her name. 'Friday'. Friday unfolded the paper. And read the note in her head.
Met me at the bottom of the fire escape at 9:30pm
Secret admirer
Friday blushed. She recognized the handwriting. It was Ian. "Who's your secret admirer?" asked Sophia. Now looking up from what she was doing. She must have noticed Friday blush. "I don't know, plus it's none of your business!" exclaimed Friday. "She's lying," said Melanie. "About the first bit". Friday jabbed her friend in the rips with her elbow. Sophia was now curious. "It's none of your business" repeated Friday in a firm voice. "Ok, ok" said Sophia, backing off. Friday calmed down. She walked into the bathroom. And Melanie followed her. "Well we may as well dress you up a little?" whispered Melanie into Friday's ear. "I don't think that's necessary" replied Friday. "Oh, Please" begged Melanie. "Surely you a touch bit wanna look nice for Ian" said Melanie. Friday turned to her with a surprised look on her face. "I am not stupid" said Melanie. "I know who it is". "Ugh" moaned Friday. Melanie smiled at her. She couldn't argue with her. "Fine" agreed Friday. Melanie smiled again. "But-" continued Friday. Melanie's face dropped. "No dresses and I have to agree on it" said Friday firmly. "Fine," agreed Melanie. Melanie picked out an outfit. It was a white long sleeved turtleneck. Slightly flared jeans. She wore her beige trench coat from a few days earlier. And her hair was up in french braids. Friday was surprised with the result. Melanie smiled happily with her work. Friday nodded in response. At 9:25pm. Friday jimmied the window open with a butter knife. She stepped out onto the fire escape.gently closed the window just as the freezing wind bashed into her. She stumbled back. And caught herself on the railing. Shivers were sent up her spine. She recovered herself and started to make her way down the fire escape. The view was incredible. She could see all the far away lights. And the eiffel tower lit up. Friday stared at it for a moment. Snapping a photo into her memory. Friday's heart beat fast. Praying she wouldn't fall over the railing. She took a quick break at floor 4. Catching her breath.
"Hello"
Friday jumped and let out a little yelp. Friday turned around quickly. There was a face centimeters from hers. It was Ian's. Her stomach was doing it again. It was flipping. "Sorry I didn't mean to startle you," said Ian. Friday caught her breath. "It's okay," replied Friday. "I thought we were meeting at the bottom?". "I thought I would wait for you and help you the rest of the way," said Ian, smiling. "I was perfectly fine," replied Friday. It was sweet of Ian. So she didn't argue anymore. Ian rolled his eyes and grabbed her hand. They hurried down the stairs. "Where are we going?" asked Friday in confusion. "I was hoping you wouldn't ask," said Ian. "It's a surprise". Smiled Ian. He was adorable. Friday could swear her eyes made love hearts. Well not really. She knew it wasn't possible. Not scientifically. At least. The streets of Paris were surprisingly quiet and empty. Both of them turned down a side street. When Ian came to a halt. "Patinage" said Ian. Friday was horrified. "Are you kidding?" replied Friday. "You know I have a horrible sense of balance". "You've gotta at least try!" said Ian with a twinkle in his eyes. Friday hesitated. She didn't wanna make a fool out of herself by constantly tripping. Her heart beat fast with nervousness. Friday took a deep breath and sighed an "okay". Friday waited on a bench. Ian returned with 4 skates. Two pairs. One for him and one for her. Friday had tiny feet. Her skates were so small compared to Ian's. Ian suddenly stood up and held his hand out. Friday took it. She stumbled and almost ran Ian's feet over. Friday sighed a sigh of relief when she was finally stable. "It's okay, come on," said Ian. He wrapped his arm around her shoulder. And gently guided her to the skating rink. Friday frantically grabbed the railing. "The last time I saw you this terrified, was when you were getting dragged off by the police in Italy," said Ian. "Shut up," said Friday, elbowing Ian in the Ribs. Ian smiled, " you'll forgive me won't you smile. Friday decided to try giving it a go. She didn't wanna ruin the moment. Plus roller skating was romantic. Right? At least he's trying. Friday sighed. She let go of the railing. Friday knew all about skating and how to do it. She had just never tried herself. Friday looked around. Ian was standing in the center of the rink. He waved. Friday slowly shifted towards Ian. "You're doing it!" exclaimed Ian. "I'm going so slow," said Friday. "Then go faster," said Ian. "Ill trip" replied Friday. "It'll be fine," said Ian. Friday sped up a touch. She hadn't fallen. Which she was surprised by. Friday sped up more and more. She got a little too confident. Friday realized she was heading towards Ian way too fast. "How do i stop" yelled Friday in panic. "Use the toe stopper" yelled back Ian. Friday leaned onto the toe stoppers. But suddenly she fell forward and bashed into Ian. They both fell onto the floor. "oompfh" said Friday and Ian in unison. Ian started to chuckle. Friday burst into laughter as well. Ian and Friday looked at each other and smiled. Ian stood up on his feet and held out a hand for Friday. Ian managed to teach Friday the basics. And she learnt fast. She was soon speeding around the rink. Without falling over. Okay she fell over a few times. But she was doing great. After a while they were exhausted but happy. Ian and Friday sat down in a booth. And ordered a large gelato to share.
