Lila was walking along her forest collecting bananas for the forest community. That was her job in the forest, to collect fruit. She was very bored at the moment and wanted to explore, but since she had been the fruit collector ever since her incident at six (now she was 13), she had explored everything there is to explore in this forest.
She wanted to explore other forests. It was really all only one forest but there were stupid boundaries. She wanted to go somewhere, where nobody knew her, somewhere, that maybe there was a person who was even more of an outcast than her. There were rumors of a monkey that only ate popcorn or something. Who knows but it can't be as bad as her stained fur?
She decided she would explore other forests but first she would drop the bananas off. She got to the storage tree in the middle of all the housing trees. Then she put the basket of bananas into the tree.
She went to her housing tree, where her mother, father, brother, and she, lived. Her father and brother were out in the forest doing their jobs but all the female monkeys had indoor jobs. Now Lila is a special case because she is purple it won't matter if more fruit juices stain her fur, which most monkeys are afraid of getting their fur stained. It is the perfect job for her because of this.
"Mom can I go climbing around the trees," Lila said.
Lila was a trained monkey now so she wouldn't lose her grip like when she was six. Her mother knew she was well trained but she likes to taunt her daughter and is not very motherly. Honestly she hated her daughter, so this is how she replied "Don't embarrass me further turnip"
For those of you who can't put two and two together she said this because turnips are purple and she's purple. Anyway Lila was used to this so she went out among the trees until she got to the border between her forest, Supercali and the neighboring forest Fragilistic. The forest next to Fragilistic is Expeali. The farthest one and the last is Doucis.
She thought over what she was doing. Should she step over the border? If she did this she would be breaking so many rules, but rules didn't matter, it was just an invisible line. She was desperate, she needed someone that would care for her and be by her side. The only way to find that was to step over the border. She had nothing to lose. She had no friends so why not. She had made her choice there were more pros then cons.
She climbed down the tree and took a step towards her destiny.
