~ chapter 15 - FINALE ~

it had now been a few weeks since you kicked ghostface— or billy, out for giving you a human heart. it was so gross. but, you couldn't deny, you did miss him.

you sighed as one of your friends from school was ranting to you about some guy she liked. tonight, you would be going to a high school party. yeah, chaotic. however, you couldn't deny you were still on edge.

"selena, no. he's not worth it." you replied as selena finished ranting about said guy. "he's so fine though!" she whined, which earned her an eye roll from yourself.

"so? he's a shitty human being and he's played so many girls!" you retorted, placing a hand on your hip. she had a bad taste in men.

"anyway, are you ready for that party tatum's boyfriend having tonight? or is that cray cray ex of yours still on your mind?" she quizzically raised an eyebrow, rolling her eyes.

billy was in fact on your mind, always. the thought of missing him brought a shiver down your spine. you were disgusted with yourself.

he was a killer, you couldn't love him, could you? it was stupid. you were stupid in love.

"yeah, i think i'll go. i don't have anything to wear for it though. i'll figure it out." you casually spoke, which earned a gasp from your friend.

"you'll figure it out? you'll figure it out?! nuh uh. (y/n), babes, i'll lend you something." selena said dramatically as she patted your shoulder.

"thank you? i think?" you couldn't tell whether or not that was a compliment, but that didn't matter right now.

"it's a good thing, trust me. anyway, skedaddle. get your ass home, take a nap, and i'll be over at 7:00." she then walked off, on her way to do whatever the hell she normally did.

you just sighed as the bell rang, slinging your bag over your shoulder and walking home. you couldn't lie, you missed walking home some days.

at least you could actually go to school now, without billy around. you crossed the street, walking past a man who looked familiar. he was just a kid who went to your school; stu macher, he was friends with billy last time you checked.

that just made you think of him more. he did in fact go to your school, you remembered he explained that, but he hadn't shown up at all since you kicked him out. not even his friend group knew where he was.

if he appeared at that party tonight, you would definitely have to run away. it was hard enough distancing yourself from anything to do with him in general.

you got home, and time passed. selena came over with two dresses for you to pick from, even though they looked the exact same, just in different colours; one in red, and one in blue.

"come on, you totally have to wear one of these at least. please?" she whined with a slight pout in her lips, exaggerating her words as usual.

"fine," you huffed in annoyance with a small eye roll, "the red one." you sighed internally, selena always made a big deal about fashion.

you always thought the colour red was beautiful, it could be associated with so many things. roses, dresses, paint, candy...

...blood.

blood was now the only thing filling your mind when you thought about anything that was the colour red. an image of the human heart that was gifted to you by billy flashed through your head, which made you gag.
