Chapter 15

Omniscient

It was three weeks later and lani was still cooped up in her mothers house with her baby who was close to being six months.

She was miserable but didn't want her mother to know although she could read her like a book.

The only thing she could do was apartment hunt coming down to the conclusion that she needed time away from any and everybody.

She hated that things had to turn out like this but she could only allow ahmaud to do him, she didn't know what everything would boil down to except the fact that the two couldn't be together right now.

She contacted lucky and majesty to let the two know that she was ok which was the only thing the two wanted to hear.

Lucky had came up to see her almost every two days for the past couple of weeks, turning into everyday recently since lani had been sick.

She made lucky sweat that she wouldn't tell anyone where she was which was pressure for the girl since she told her man literally everything, but she did it anyway.

And gee did just that- his boy was going through it so he figured he could sweat it out of lucky but that wasn't the case, lucky knew that her best friend was going through it so she was going to be there for her no matter what, and keep her mouth shut.

Ahmaud did nothing but go to his club and chill around sipping on alcohol knowing damn well he never liked to drink.

Word got around about what had happened so everyone was now talking and some females were bold enough to jump back on ahmauds radar- not that they ever left.

Lani was embarrassed to speak to miss alanise after the event that took place in her home. Sorrow and regret filled her body wishing that she could take back what she exposed about herself but now that it was out there she had no choice but to take this head on.

She lied in the bed feeling as if she was dying. Karter was next to her knocked out since she was under the weather as well with a fever. Her baby was teething badly and was doing nothing but whining, slobbing all over the place, and keeping her fingers in her mouth every chance she got.

Lucky walked in the door with a tray that had crackers and chicken noodle soup causing lani to pout. She walked closer to the bed shaking her head "m mmm em you still need to eat" she fussed, lani couldn't keep anything down which made lucky very skeptical.

"Luck you know I'm just gonna throw it all up" lani sighed grabbing the tray and taking a spoonful of the soup and a bite of one of the crackers just to make lucky happy.

"You know miss niecey wants to talk to you" she stood with her hand on her hip. Lani nodded, she'd gotten herself a new phone, new SIM card, new everything.

She didn't want ahmaud knowing where she was, if she wanted to find him she knew where he was. She understood her selfishness when it came down to ahmaud seeing karter and she was regretting it just because she didn't want to keep ahmaud from his kid.

She still kept her other phone but just wanted her space.

"I'm just- I need my space away from everybody. There is too much going on my end from this luck ,I'm so humiliated that I showed my ass because I allowed this girl to get to me, a girl that I don't even know. Now that I am blues mom- or a mom in general that is embarrassing and is making it seem like I'm still immature, and my life is only surrounded in bs".
