They are 18 in this story. (Last year in highschool)

"Everyone will be receiving a 'second gender'. Alpha, beta, or omega." said the presenter.

"Alphas will mate with omegas, alphas will go through ruts and omegas through heats. Betas will pretty much live a normal life."

"You each will take a pill that will reveal your secondary gender, once you have taken it, you will each see a specialist who will tell you your gender and instruct you on important details." 

Little packets were passed around and each of them had a pill in them.

"Now, the pills just cause your gender to appear, it doesn't make it." said the doctor. 

Everyone took the pill and they all left the room. 

Giyu POV:

I walked into the doctor's office and he examined me. Once he was done, he told me the results.

"Tomioka, you are an omega." said the doctor, "You will have heats which will last a week once a month." 

"You can be excused from school during these heats and you can take suppressants to help with the effects." 

"One effective way to suffer minimally during your heat is to make a nest with your lover's or close family's clothing, something that has their scent." said the doctor. 

Once I was done, I left the office to wait for Sanemi.

Sanemi's POV:

The doctor took forever to examine me. It took so long. 

Once the doctor was finally done he started to talk.

"Shinazugawa, you are an alpha, and you will have a rut that will last a week every six months, you should get your first one, sometime this month, since you need to start the cycle."

"You can take suppressants if you wish, and you will have to mate with an omega, by marking them,"

When I left the office, I saw Giyu waiting there for me. 

No one's POV:

"What did you get, Nemi?" asked Giyu.

"I got alpha obviously, how about you?" Sanemi asked.

"Uh, I got omega." said Giyu, kind of shyly.

"Thank god, now we can still be together,"

"Did you also get the weird pamphlet?" asked Giyu.

"Uh, yeah, it was weird?" said Sanemi.

The pamphlet described how sex was done between alphas and omegas.

"It says during my heat, I'll produce a slick, that's like a lube?" said Giyu, embarrassed.

"Eh, it's fine, it's still weird though," said Sanemi. 

"Hey, when will your heat be?" asked Sanemi.

"I'm not sure, sometime this month." said Giyu.

"Same with my rut," said Sanemi.

One week later-

It's after school and they are heading back to their apartment where they live together. Sanemi gets ready to head for work and Giyu starts to do his homework.
