Something was going on. Something was going on, and no one was telling me anything.
Leo disappeared somewhere with Callum and two other people roughly around two hours ago. In those two hours my father has been desperately trying to get a hold of Leo's family.
"Dammit," he seethed as he plopped down in the seat beside me.
"Still nothing?" I asked, already knowing the answer.
"No I've tried calling Jesse multiple times, then Lana, I even tried Drew and Scott and no one's answering it just keeps going straight to voicemail.
"I can try Drew and Scott again if you'd like?" I asked, getting a nod of approval from my dad.
I unlocked my phone screen before clicking on my contacts. I scrolled down the line of names before stopping at Drew's. I clicked on his name, putting my phone to my ear as I waited. The phone rang once before I got that annoying automotive voice telling me it was sending me to his voicemail.
I hung up, scrolling further down the list before clicking on Scott's name. I put the phone back to my ear after I had clicked on his name, only to get the same message.
"That's weird," I mumbled under my breath, after I hung up on Scott's voicemail.
"Getting their voicemail as well?" My dad asked.
"Did you get the same thing from Uncle Jesse and Aunt Lana's as well?" I asked.
"Yup, no matter how many times I've tried calling them, I keep getting sent to their voicemails."
"Maybe their phones are off?"
"All four of them?"
"Maybe they went somewhere where their phones had to be off. I don't know, I'm just throwing ideas out there," I said shrugging as my father's irritation grew.
"I'm going to call your mom, I'll be right back," he said getting up, walking back out into the hallway.
I watched as he put the phone to his ear, only to pull it away seconds later cussing. He stormed back into the room, sitting back down as he tossed his phone down onto the chair next to him.
"Is everything ok?" I asked.
"Her number is doing the same thing. There's probably a cell tower down."
"I didn't think of that," I said as we fell into silence.
"So," I said after a few minutes.
"So?"
"What's Leo doing? It's been like two hours and he's still not back," I asked.
My dad turned his blue eyes towards me, looking at me before he turned away.
"It's not my place to say it," he said.
"What does that mean?"
"Amara, Leo will tell you when he's ready. It's not my place to be telling people about his business," he said.
"Yeah, but I'm not just anyone though. I'm his best friend, if something is happening to him then I need to know," I said feeling irritated, and judging by my father's expression he was picking up on my mood.
"I said no and that's final Amara. Now drop it," he said, his tone stern.
I sighed out, feeling frustrated as I leaned back in this God awful uncomfortable chair. They could have at least added a cushion of something. Groaning out, I stood from my seat, stretching my sore limbs, before I walked over to where the hallway was at.
