Before Axel knew it he was back at the gates of Godolkin. When A-Train let go of him he leaned against the nearest thing he could and took a few deep breaths.

"You alright kid?" Queen Maeve asked as Axel nodded.

"I've had some experience with speedsters since getting here. Just not like that." Axel answered. It was true he didn't feel as bad as he thought he would. It didn't feel too different from when Max used her powers on him.

"Alright we've gotta go get everything ready. We'll see you at the event then kid." Homelander said as he was basically ushering A-Train and Maeve to where he wanted them to go. Axel collected himself and walked to his dorm all the while he was punching his leg just hard enough that it would hurt that way if he got into a fight he'd already have a big strength boost. It was a relatively peaceful walk with the only thing happening being Axel seeing the six that tried jumping him not that long ago. He looked at them, but the moment they noticed him they refused to meet his eyes. Axel smirked at that being extremely happy that they were now that afraid of him.

He got to his dorm and saw Louis unpacking things on his side. Actually that was the reason why Axel went to the dorm too. He had some pictures and things he wanted to put up. He quietly started setting everything up, and just finished placing a picture of his family when Louis looked over.

"That's your family?" Louis asked as Axel sighed. He looked back at the picture and the 4 people in it.

"Yep that's me, my parents, and my older brother Xavier." Axel said as he rolled his eyes at Xavier's name. Axel never got along with his brother mainly because unlike Axel his brother was simply a regular human. He was inferior in Axel's mind. In actuality even Axel had to admit his brother was a genius, but the brothers also couldn't stand each other. Xavier couldn't stand his brother's attitude, and Axel couldn't stand having someone with such little power as his sibling.

"Seems like a bit of a sore spot. I got a sibling too Jaya. She's 2 years younger than me, and finishing up highschool." Louis said as he placed a picture of himself and a younger girl on his bedside table. The girl had the same auburn hair and hazel eyes as Louis. She looked happy in the picture smiling carefree with her big brother.

"She got powers?" Axel asked wanting to make small talk even if the atmosphere was still a little tense between them.

"Yeah. If she gets a little more control she could end up stronger than me one day." Louis said his eyes were brimming with pride. Axel was actually getting jealous. He and his brother were never, and as far as Axel was concerned could never take pride in each other like that. The only thing that Axel and Xavier ever agreed on was that they had the best parents in the world. That was why the picture he put up even existed. His parents had asked their sons to let them get one picture of the 4 of them, and Axel and Xavier put aside their personal feelings so their parents could get the picture.

"You're lucky then. My brother and I can't get along to save our lives." Axel said as he put up a few more pictures of him and his parents.

"Well if I didn't get along with my sister I would've had nobody." Louis said as he rubbed his wrist.

"What about your parents?" Axel asked as Louis gave him a strained grin.

"They're not around anymore." Louis said as he placed some makeup on his dresser. Axel decided not to comment on that, but he was curious about why Louis had it. Axel didn't notice him wearing any makeup before.

"Did you hear Homelander, Queen Maeve, and A-Train are going to be hosting a special event soon at the training field?" Louis asked Axel who nodded.

"Yeah I actually met them earlier." Axel said as Louis looked at him dumbfounded.
