Luna's POV:

The rest of the day kind of passed by me, I wasn't focused on my lessons or on Ashton as he attempted to carry a conversation with me. My thoughts drifted more and more to the way Victoria was looking at me as we had passed her earlier. The intensity of her gaze left a knot in my stomach so much so that once the day was done, I decided to head straight home. I threw myself on my bed instantly trying to shake off the day, after a few moments I got up and walked to my closet grabbing a change of clothes then walk over to my bathroom and take a shower. I must admit the water cascading on my body was exactly what I needed. All my muscles started to slowly relax. After My shower I get dressed and pick up my phone, an hour had passed since arrived home. I have a few messages from Ashton to which I give short responses to then start to do my homework. I stayed in my room focused until my father came in and announced that we would be attending dinner with my brother Justin and his wife. I didn't have much of an appetite, but I figured a distraction was needed after the chaotic day I had.

Dinner was okay for the most part Dad and Justin talked about work mostly and my mom engaged in chit chat with his wife. As for me I was just bored. My mind drifted further and further from the table and more into my own mind. As we were leaving, I bumped into someone due to not paying attention. By some ironic twist of fate or maybe the world cursing me for some unknown reason it was Victoria herself. Compared to her demeanor from earlier today she was completely different. She flashed me a smile and seemed almost friendly.

"I am sorry." I managed to mutter at her.

"Hey." She responds confusing even further. I swear this woman is starting to give me whiplash with her mood swings and I don't even know why.

"Hey air head I am trying to talk to you." Her voice breaks me from my thoughts.

"Oh, right sorry ill get out of your way." I say, trying to walk past her as she continues to hold the door open. I feel her hand grab my arm stopping me from walking any further

"Look that wasn't what I was saying, and you have no reason to trust me but at least deserve some type of warning before you get mixed in with the wrong people, you shouldn't trust Ashton. He's a jerk and only cares about himself. If you don't want to get hurt, you'll keep him at a distance." Her voice was now serious, and her expression was cold. Instead of me questioning why she was telling me this I decided to question her.

"What about you? Do you care about anyone except yourself? I may be new to school, but people aren't scared to talk. They say you are selfish, arrogant, manipulative, and hurt everyone as you see fit. What is your reason for even talking to me right now? You want to tease me, annoy me yet show concern pretending like you care. You are literally exhausting!" Her Jade colored eyes and face looked saddened by my words but before she could respond back my family was calling out my name, so I rushed over to them stepping out of her grasp

I quickly entered the car with my family and almost immediately my mom wanted to play 100 questions with me about Victoria. Which instantly annoyed me more.

"Mom, I don't know her She was in my class and her name is Victoria, she asked a question about the homework and that's it." I barked out with meaning to and apologized after.

Sitting in the car I began to doze off feeling completely exhausted with today. In my dream I was greeted with those entrapping green eyes. Each step she took brought her closer to me. I tried to retreat but eventually I became stuck against a wall. Her face was inches from mine I held my breath in feeling the intensity of her gaze. I didn't know what to expect next, but my dream was cut short with me being shaken awake by my father letting me know we had arrived home.

"Ugh she is even invading my dreams now what a royal pain." I mumble as I go upstairs to my room and get ready for bed.

Victoria's POV:

I must admit after my encounter with Luna I felt a bit wounded by her words. Yes, I did create this reputation at school myself but for some reason the way she viewed me in such a black and white kind of way stung for some unknown reason to me.

I decided that it was best if I didn't dwell on her and got straight to work. I finished around 11:30 and arrived home just before midnight. Ms. Taylor was sound asleep on the sofa, so I wrapped a blanket around her and headed upstairs to check on Conner, he of course was also sound asleep. To say I was surprised that my mother wasn't present would be a lie knowing fully well she was probably preoccupied with her boyfriend and whatever bad habits he encouraged her to have. I started my nightly routine and got ready for bed. Once complete I curled into my bed and began to drift off to sleep.

She approached me each stride was slow and graceful but the expression on her face was filled with furry. She stopped just a few steps in front of me before giving me a smile, then she raised her hand and slapped me across the face. My face stung but I never would have imagined what happened next, she turned away from me then approached Ashton and began to kiss him. I felt my own rage begin to rise as I watched them. I started to charge directly at them but before our bodies collided, I awoke on the floor and groaned having fallen off from my bed. "Oww." I sighed and climbed back into bed noticing the time with the alarm clock on my nightstand. It was a little passed 3.

So much for me getting goodnight's sleep I stayed up after my nightmare and falling off the bed. Ms. Talyor helped me with Conner since she stayed the night which I was grateful for. I made my way to school and sat down at my desk. My head feels like it's been sat on by an elephant, so I put a pair of sunglasses on and closed my eyes.

I feel myself being shaken and groan in protest. "5 more minutes Conner." I say attempting to swat him away.

"Conner? I'm not Conner and you aren't home; you are at school, and you fell asleep but sure ill leave you alone in your own misery." I open my eyes and see Luna. I look around confused.

"Is class over already? Damnit my head is still killing me." I groan as I dig through my bag trying to find a pain killer but unfortunately, I must have left them at home.

I got up then looked at Luna. "Thanks for waking me up ill see you later." She grabbed my arm and stopped me from walking.

"Follow me ill help you with that headache, and don't ask me why I'm helping you, I am not so sure myself." She begins to guide me through the halls holding my hand until we are in an empty storage closet at the end of one of the hallways and she locks the door behind us.

"Sit down." She orders me and I comply sliding down the wall getting comfy on the floor. She kneels in front of me and rubs her hands together.

"This is going to help you just trust me." She places both of her thumbs on the side of my head and begins to slowly massage my temple, after a few minutes she makes her way down my neckline then back up. She repeats the action for a little bit then comes to stop. I pouted somewhat missing the sense of her hands and the relief they brought to my head. Seeing me pout she started to laugh.

"Hey, don't judge me it felt good, Thanks for helping me out by the way. Where did you learn to do that?"

Her expression suddenly changed; I felt a deep sadness as her thoughts over came her. "I get these really bad panic attacks and headaches that tend to follow, but my grandmother used to do rub my head like that it made the headaches a lot better, I learned it from her." I would be lying if I said that her candor didn't take me by surprise, but I felt a bit of happiness. I reached over and took her hand in mine.

"Thank you for helping and thank you for sharing something so private with me too. I know we got off on the wrong foot, but I do appreciate you doing this. In return I want you to hear me out, I meant what I said Ashton is trouble, you have no reason to trust me, but I am being completely serious."

"What kind of trouble? You are being super vague and that isn't exactly helping your case." I knew she was right, but I shook my head before responding.

"It's not my secret to share, I wish I could give you details but it is just something I know. Anyway, I'll see you in class yeah?" I stood up watching her nod her head then left her there in the closet.
