*beep beep beep*
It was a warm December morning when the alarm clock rang, not disturbing Anna's peaceful slumber at all because she was out like a light, busy running around the corn field with her bias.
Sunlight peeked through the curtains, flashing it's rays on the honey tanned skin of the girl that whined and hid her face inside the blanket. After ten minutes of battling with innerself, Anna sat up abruptly whilst rubbing her eyes.
Her hair was disheveled like a bird's nest, tired eyes opening and closing every second. She yawned loudly before dragging her naked body out of the bed, much to her dismay.
Anna sauntered down the stairs in a bathrobe, not bothered to brush her teeth or wash her face. She lived alone afterall, could do it anytime of the day.
She opened the refrigerator and stared at the variety, not wanting to cook something she settled for milk and butter toast.
After that, she walked towards the living room and perched down on the couch before turning on the T. V. The news channel played some footage of teenagers playing ouija board in the graveyard who apparently had went missing the next day.
"The 'ouija board' has become a popular game among the teenagers nowadays. However, the adults are very much against it saying it's not a game to be played. Yesterday, two girls of age around 17 went missing in front of the graveyard.
The police officials found an ouija board lying outside the gates, the parents are in absolute distress. We can only hope and pray to the Lord for those children to return back to their families, please take care of your children-" Anna switched off the tv in annoyance.
Same news everyday. Boring.
She decided to listen to some songs while cleaning the house, maniac by stray kids began playing, she grabbed a broom and duster. Swaying to the music, bobbing her head up and down when Felix began singing.
She felt the beats and Felix's deep voice course through her veins, shivers in the spines as she cleaned a vase.
This heaven, or so she called it.
Filled with her favorite activity rooms and food, must be cleaned. You see, Anna's parents were rich. Not very rich but rich, perks of being a priest. Yeah, Anna is the daughter of a priest.
Her father was just a young priest, his love for his woman outlived his love for God. Anna didn't find any shame in that, it's ok to fall in love. All souls are a fragment of the Almighty, truly loving a soul is equal to loving God.
But the world had to twist it for their own conveniences. Anna scoffed to herself while thinking of the world, it filled her with rage sometimes.
Why can't the world just end already?
Her parents gave her everything but not what she wanted, attention and love. Anna was not given the attention she deserved during her childhood, after coming to self realization she decided to confront her parents but it didn't end well.
"There are four people in this house, why do you feel lonely?" Were the words that came out of her mother's mouth. Anna just sighed in response while she fought the nasty tears, there was an urge to scream out the feelings she bottled up.
But she couldn't, her throat constricted in denial. As if God was holding her tongue that day, so she did what she was capable of.
She told them that after turning a legal adult, would leave the house for good and earn for herself.
Her parents knew they couldn't do anything about it except for providing their daughter with a house miles away from them, so she wouldn't ghost them forever.
