Chapter 14: The Final Battle

Nathan flew up to the giant, lava-filled island, landing just outside the throne room.

Nathan: "Hello?! Anyone home?!"

Garonis: "Ah, Nathan. It's good to finally meet you!"

Nathan: "Oh, you're... Big."

Garonis: "Yes, 14 feet tall, to be exact. Anyways, time for the deal."

Nathan: "Alright, then."

Garonis: "So, as I'm sure Darktra told you; Xoros for the scythe."

Xoros: "No, Nathan, don't do it!"

Darktra: "Hey, shush!"

Nathan: "Fine."

Nathan then handed the scythe to Garonis.

Nathan: "Now, let Xoros go."

Garonis: "Now, I'm sure you've seen enough movies to know that this is the part where I double-cross you... HOWEVER, I must admit, that is not how I roll! So, Darktra? Let him go.

Darktra then opened the cage Xoros was locked in, as Xoros fell to the floor.

Xoros: "Ow!"

Nathan: "Just one thing though..."

Garonis: "Hmm?"

Nathan: "You just let my friend go, and if you've been watching us, you should know that we make a pretty good team!"

Xoros then ran over to Nathan, loading his crossbow, as Darktra ran over to Garonis, readying himself.

Garonis: "So, the fool has chosen demise."

Nathan then started fighting Garonis, as Xoros fought Darktra.  Nathan would land powerful blows on Garonis, as Xoros shot Darktra with mighty arrows. Eventually, however, Darktra managed to knock out Xoros, distracting Nathan, allowing Garonis to knock him to the ground.

Garonis: "Like father, like son, you will meet the same fate your father did! However, I will grant you a few last words."

Nathan: "Heh... It hink you dropped something during our fight."

Garonis: "Wait, huh?"

Nathan then rolled over to the Scythe, grabbing it, and sending a blast from it, hitting Darktra.

Garonis: "No, Darktra!"

Nathan: "I am not one to kill, so I will spare his life."

Garonis then charged at Nathan, but Nathan quickly spun, knocking him to a ledge about a lava lake.

Nathan: "Please, Garonis. I do not want it to end this way."

Garonis: "Ugh, I will DIE before I give up being evil!"

Garonis then let go of the ledge, falling into the lave lake below.

As Nathan turned around, he saw that Darktra was gone, presumably trying to save Garonis. However, Xoros was waking up.

Nathan: "Hey, you okay?"

Xoros: "I'm... I'm sorry, Nathan. I should've told you who you're real parents were from the start."

Nathan: "No, it's okay. Let's just get out of this hot place!"

Xoros and Nathan then left, returning to Nortonia below.
