I sat at the formal dinning table. To say It was awkward was a under statement. It was beyond awkward. Every time I take a bite of my pasta, I could feel somones eyes on me. Sher enough, it is the boy from Starbucks.

"So austin"my mom says looking in his direction. " how old are you".

Hmm so austin his name. Austin Mahoney. Hot name if you ask me. I take this moment to take in his appearance. He is wearing a red button Dow shirt. Dark jeans, red shoes and a gold necklace and His hair is slicked back in a sexy manner.

"Umm, I'm 19,starting college next year" he smiles. Oh his smile. Just perfect.

"Oh so you graduated high school"my mom continues. "Ya, I did.I just wanted a little break from school".

"Oh, that's great, you know Kayla here is 18, you guys should hang out,". I rolled my eyes. She always dose this. Trys to make me hook up with someone I hardly know. If you haven't noticed, she's not your topical mom.

"You know, she's going to this party tonight, maby you should go with her".she adds on."that a great idea Kim, plus austin needs to get out more" mis mahone says. Ugh now I know why my mom wanted to know if i was going to the party. And tbh I don't even want to go.geez can my life get eny worst.

" is that ok with you Kayla" my mom asks causing everyone's eyes to look in my direction.

"Perfect" I smile then continue to eat my pasta." Get it in" I here my older sister khloe whisper to me.

"Shut up khloe"I whisper causing austin to giggle. Oh my gosh I can't believe he herd that.

I sat in the Mahones living room scrolling through my phone.I looked at the time."we should get going mom, it's nine thirty."I say getting up along with austin and Kylie.

"Ok bye guys, Chloe your not going" my mom asked Chloe.she giggled " mom I'm 21 I'm too old to go to a little kid party"she says not taking her eyes off her phone

We all walk out and Kylie gets in her car and leaves within 2.5 seconds.

"So"austin looks Dow at me."are we going in your car or my car".

"Umm we can go in your car". "Ok let's go"he says as we make our way to his range rover.

As we get in he starts the car. "I have to stop at the gas station first"he says.we then take off.

We pulled up a few blocks from the party. Not that we wanted to. The party was packed and this is the closest spot we could find.

Getting out of the car austin locks his car and we make our way up the block to the party.

" so-" austin said looking down at his . " do you go to party's a lot". I chuckled. "No not really, I'd rather stay at home and watch Netflix, how about you". I asked now looking up at his brod body.

" Umm, here and there" he says as we walk into the lawn were we see drunk kids scattered throughout the lawn.

The house was a decent size. We walked inside and tried to make our way to the the kitchen.once we got there I see Xavier. My crush since like the third grade.the only people that knows he's my crush is my two sisters, and Amanda and Nicole.I'm pretty sher he even knows.

" hey do you guys want anything to drink" Xavier asks. A dark shade of red make their way to my checks.

" um I'll take a beer" austin casualty says. " I'll take same" I say take the two beers from him. We make our way outside to the back yard were most teens were hanging out. " you like him don't you" austin yells over the overlapping loud music.

" you can say that" I yell back.I look around for Amanda and Nicole.once I spot them I take Austin's hand and I drag him tords them.

"Kayla, I didn't know you were coming" Nicole says and hugs me. " and we certainly didn't know if you did come you would bring a friend" Amanda winks.

I look over to austin to see him just looking around the crowd."austin, this is Amanda and Nicole, Nicole, Amanda this is austin" I say introducing them

" hey" austin says and takeing a sip of his beer me following after his actions.

Me and the girls had just got done talking about how hard our final were and we now have nothing to talk about.it is now 1:00 and the party was still packed.

" hey has enyone seen Kylie" I say looking around till I see her sucking faces with nun other Xavier. I can't believe this. She was the first person I told that I liked him. I feel like my own sister just stabbed me in the back.I feel a tears slide down my face

" wats wrong" austin asked. I pointed to the two I now hated the most in this world.Amanda and Nicole gasp.

I run to the front of my house. I here all three off them calling my name. When I get to the car I wait for austin to get here so I can ask him to.seconds later they all show up .

" really Kayla, that was so immature, I mean you new you we're never ganna get a chance with Xavier" Nicole says harshly.

" what are you trying to say" I snap back. " look all were saying is you need to get over Xavier, you know Kylie has a better chance than you" Amanda says. With that they walk back towards the party.

Right then and there I braked down, I can't believe my best friends would day that to me. Especially in the situation I'm in right now.

Austin immediately comes and wraps both his arms around me." Shhh it's ok, it's ok" he whispers in my ear. I sob in his chest. Surprisingly I'm comfortable doing this with him.

" I have now one now" I continue to sob.

" shhh don't say that, you have your mom, you have your sister khloe,
............ And you have me"
