Chapter 2- Home?

*Jerry's Pov* 

We have been in the carriage for about 2 hours now, it is now very dark outside and I am really tired but I should try to stay awake for when we arrive. 

I have to help with their luggage. I jumped a bit when I felt something impact my shoulder until I saw her. 

The girl's head had hit my shoulder. A small strand of hair fell down her face. I looked to her mom who was out cold. I brushed the hair out of her face, she looks so peaceful. 

I decided I would try to stay awake but I made no promises to myself. 

Not even 10 minutes later my head and eyes felt heavy. There is no use in trying to stay awake, it must be around 1:00 AM. I gently rested my head back and let my eyes fall shut.

--(time skip)-- I felt the carriage come to a stop and i opened my eyes to see the girl's head on my lap and her arms around my waist. 

Her mother was still asleep as well, curled up holding her legs. I'm guessing that's as comfortable she can get considering this carriage is quite small. 

I left the girl in her position because she looks comfortable. I just looked out the window as the carriage moved again. 

Soon after, the girl's grip on my waist tightened as she moved closer and nuged her face close to my stomach. 

I put my arm around her in hopes of helping her get comfortable.---(aNoThEr time skip cuz we lazy🤪) The sun is fully up and we finally arrived at their new house. 

It was a large house, a lot bigger than green gables. 

It had a garden house on the side, it was as big as the house. inside was 2 chairs and a couch, a coffee table and a bookshelf. 

I carefully and slowly moved the girl off of me and sat her up. I leaned her against the window to keep from embarrassing her with the position she was just in.
