For a while, he thought he'd actually get away from them. Spend the night resting before sneaking off in the morning. Unfortunately, one of their Pokémon spotted him slipping away and they followed. Now, he was stuck trying to make his way toward Lilycove with two idiots following close behind.

"Can't we take a break? My feet are killing me!" Deimos complained, dragging his feet along like a child having a tantrum.

"For the last time, we can't! There's too much at stake." Sanford fretted. Slowly, he'd become more anxious as they travelled, like he was convinced they'd never make it in time.

"Please? Can't you at least carry me for a while?" Feeling fur brush against his hand, he took the offer and gently massaged Sparks's fur as they walked.

"No, Deimos, that'd be wasting energy!" Sighing, he wished he'd just been a little stealthier about slipping away. Maybe then he wouldn't be forced to listen to their bickering.

"...Hank, can you-?

"No." Whatever Deimos wanted, he didn't care. He couldn't wait for the sun to set for everyone to fall asleep. It was the only time he could get some peace with these idiots hanging around.

Deimos sighed, holding his head low and quietly sulking to himself as they kept walking. Finally, there was a moment of quiet. Although, their mere presence seemed to bother him still.

Finally, the tree line thinned and they found themselves back on path, although, they just had to end up at a fork in the road.

One end led to route 118, and the other to route 110. He didn't bother pulling out the map, partially because Sanford already did, and mostly because he wouldn't know how to read it anyway.

"We should follow 118, it leads straight to Lilycove city." Sanford declared, though he couldn't help feeling uninformed in this decision.

"And the other way?" He asked, to which he just got some confused looks. "Where does it lead?"

After elaborating, Sanford took another glance at the map, while Deimos sat down against a nearby tree.

"It still goes there, but it's much longer, and across water." With this new information, Hank stared blankly at the signs on the road, lost in his own thoughts.

"Why?" Sanford asked, likely for more elaboration. Hank thought a little longer, still wondering what to do before facing them.

"If we go through 110 we'll have more time to make a plan." He stated simply, watching as Sanford seemed utterly perplexed by his suggestion.

"But who knows how long until they'll be in whatever plan they have. They could be days away from destroying everything!" Sanford insisted, which only bored him.

"Maybe, but they've been complete idiots so far." Without wanting to argue further, he just started walking through 110, not bothered by if they'd follow him or not. In fact, he hoped they didn't. "If you go the other way, that's fine. I'll just meet you there."

He added, hoping they'd leave him alone now that they knew he wasn't trying to make it an ultimatum. Unfortunately, he heard a pair of footsteps following behind him, before shortly being followed by another. Great. He had to keep listening to their complaining now.

The roaring of the sea against the ship continued as he stayed in bed, reluctant to leave. It had been six days, though not much had happened. Other than... Daz walked into the room, croaking quietly as they placed another water on their bedside table.
