It has been two weeks since Aether was transmigrated into the body of his alternate self, and those two weeks were not at ease.

In two weeks, he unlocked a overpowered system to summon guns and personnel indefinitely, cleaned a mall infested of undead, explored the outskirts of Atlanta, got captured and detained by the US Army, escaped from a federal prison and watched the four John Wick movies.

Now that Aether was back to the mall, he couldn't afford to lose anymore time. That's why he was in a meeting with Mike, Sarah through radio and another captain he just promoted : Abate.

Abate was a dark-skinned male from East Africa, while not very tall nor muscular, he had an impressive running speed. He was chosen by Aether because of how reasonable he was.

The meeting was focused around the current state of the world, mostly of the United States.

A discussion with an habitant of Atlanta allowed Aether to know that this world, while being identical historically and geographically, was much more traditional and disciplined than our Earth.

For example, most of the social achievements of Humanity such as women's right and the abolition of slavery were present, but the Woke ideology never drifted from its original purpose (Fight police's violence).

In other words, humans in this world are less stupid than us.

Where it become interesting for the present, is their interest toward the lessons of History.

Do you know about the Minutemen ? They were the members of the militia of the Thirteen colonies that swore to be combat ready in the two minutes.

In this alternate Earth, the Minutemen were never disbanded.

They heavily contributed at helping the Federal Government to keep a semblance of control over the US.

Another thing that have been confirmed by Aether, is that the US Government is still here and well organized despite the chaotic situation the country is in.

Focusing on the military bases, large cities and strategic locations, the US Government secured the most important infrastructure of the country and kept the control of most of the Armed Forces.

Which explain why 80% of the United States was near empty, the population migrated toward the locations controlled by the military.

After consolidating their assets, they captured some of the most important industries of the country that are guarded by the military, such as food factories, industrial farms and ammunition plants.

But don't go thinking everything was going well for them, the crisis annihilated the international trade and the US was cut from its importation in raw materials.

And while they were able to avoid a famine thank to their food industries, most of the metal ores production was greatly reduced, meaning only a limited amount of guns, ammunitions and other tactical equipment are produced at a slow pace. With more than half of their stockpiles out of range from the military, this is their main problem.

One must also know that the Drakonian measures taken by the Government transformed the society into a violent military dictatorship, as soon as a refugee camp have a few undead, the military purge the entire camp and burn the bodies to limit the risk of the infection.
