Chap-25 •Fever

I was woken up by his alarm ringing like an annoying bee in my ear. I turned it off but I kept tossing and turning just like Xavier was. I finally decided to just wake up. I checked the time and it was 07:00 am. God. I slept so late, I'm tired. My eyes hurt. My stomach rumbles , I didn't have dinner last night.

I got out and went to the washroom, splashing water on my face and his alarm rang again. How many alarms does he set?? I glance at the mirror. Wait. I'm wearing his clothes.. I didn't change last night. He changed me. A smile comes to my face as I try to sniff a little bit. It's a little big but it looks good on me. It's cute.

I went downstairs and found Rune and Asher awake. They both greeted me. "You okay?" Rune asked me while Asher looked confused.

"Yeah,what are you two doing awake?" I stretch myself while waiting for their response.

"I have classes. Asher has work."

"I didn't know he works." I look at him and he rolls his eyes at me.

"I'm twenty four, not four." He scoffs.

"I was just asking,no need to be an asshole."

Asher frowns looking at me, annoyed. "What is Xavier doing? Shouldn't he be awake already?" Rune steps in between.

"I don't know. He was sleeping very soundly so I didn't wake him up. I thought of making some coffee for him before waking him up."

"You're pathetic" I narrow my eyes at the second oldest brother who's being an asshole out of nowhere.

"Shut up. She's cute." Rune gives him a glare to which he rolls his eyes again. Everyone has a habit of rolling their eyes in this house.

"At Least I'm pathetic. You're a dick." I go near him and blink my eyes twice. "You know what dickheads deserves?" His features indicates frustration. I take the coffee he had in his hand and pour on him. "What the hell!" He yelled at me.
"Fuck off. Asshole." I whisper at him and he storms out throwing his jacket at me which I throw back at him again and he throws it back at me again but this time Rune catches it.

"What did I miss?" Felix comes beaming again this morning. What does he eat? Sun? Wool? Glowing lights? Fireflies??

"Are you all playing?" Felix asks because of the weird position Rune is in.

I laughed. "You okay?" He nodded although he grimaced a little.

I made the coffee and went to wake him up. "Hey?"
"Wake up? Come on or you'll be late." He doesn't respond. I touch his shoulder to shake him a little. "Xavier?" I move my hand to his face then forehead realizing it's warm and sweaty. Even more warm than his body. He's sick.

I quietly walk away from him. How did he get sick? It's a pretty high temperature,I think. I walk in the kitchen with the brothers bickering.

"You can't expect me to go to school with an empty stomach!" Felix whines.

"You see that bread over the counter? Put some jam or whatever and drink some juice and get your ass moving." Damn. Rune's hands move so much first he pointed to the counter then refrigerator then the door. Felix groans but does what he's asked of still whining and pouting.

I walk up to Rune and ask. "Do you guys have a thermometer or something?"

"Probably in Xavier's room , why?" Rune shrugs and Felix exits the kitchen.

"I think he's sick. I touched him and his body was warm and he kept turning around a lot at night."

"I tell him to sit on his ass for one day but he has to take stress and keep working like a goddamn idiot. You can follow me if you want while I take his temperature." I nod and follow him.
