School badboy Niall Horan was walking the hallway when he heard a loud SLAM at the end of the lockers. Being the nosey person he always was, he rushed to the end to see his 'friends' Sean and Josh beating up Liam Payne, the school nerd. He couldn't understand why but he suddenly got angry at Sean and Josh and walked toward them with a sharp 'Hey!'
They backed off and grinned as Niall stepped forward toward Liam. He whimpered and looked up at Niall whispering "Please don't hurt me."
Niall's heart broke seeing this beautiful boy with blood dripping down the side of his face where one of their rings had cut him.
It was no secret that Liam was gay but it was a secret that Niall was.
"Hit him Niall! Go ahead. Its fun beating up the gay boy!" Sean said grinning at him.
Niall's anger flared even more as he clenched his fist. He looked down at Liam and winked then slammed it into a locker. He held his hand out to Liam, signaling he wanted him to take it.
He did, hestantly, and Niall helped him up. "You ok?" Niall asked, using a napkin from his pocket to gently wipe the blood from Liam's now swollen cheek.
Josh and Sean were looking at him like he had grown a second head.
"What the fuck Niall?" Josh asked.
"Why were you hitting him? What did he do to you?" Niall asked, keeping a hold softly on Liam's hand behind their backs.
Josh's and Sean's eyebrows furrowed. "Nothing but we always beat up the gay kid." Sean said as if it were obvious.
"So are you gonna beat me up?" Niall asked seething with anger.
"No why would we? You're not ga-"
"Yes I am." Niall said cutting him off.
"What?!" They asked, staring at him.
*Liam's POV*
"No Why would we? You're not ga-" The bigger one, Sean I think his name was, asked Niall, who for some reason was still holding my hand. Despite being a complete jerk and had beat him up a couple of times, just to have a laugh at his expense, Niall was a total babe. Bleach blonde hair, sparkling blue eyes and braces that sparkled when he smiled and laughed.
"Yes I am." Niall said.
Liam gasped from beside Niall.
His eyes widened as he stared at the boy who was smiling at him softly with a unfamiliar look in his eyes.
"You're gay?!" Josh shouted at Niall.
"Yeah. You got a problem with it Devine?" Niall asked menacingly.
"Uh no. Not at all Niall." He stammered and Sean agreed.
"Good. Now I'm only going to tell you once. Leave. Liam. Alone. Don't touch him, don't say anything rude to him, and as far as I'm concerned don't talk to him unless he talks to you first. Got it?"
They both nodded.
"Good. Now go!"
The two of them shot off down the hallway and Niall turned to Liam.
"Are you ok? Oh God what a stupid question to ask. I'm Sorry. About them... and about what I've done."
Liam stood there staring at the boy in front of him. Had Niall Horan, the sexiest guy in school, defended him and apologized?!
"Ok who dared you to do this?" Liam asked flatly.
NIall's eyes filled with hurt and Liam suddenly realized no one had dared him to do this and he was actually sorry.
"No one dared me to do any of this. I really am sorry. I don't even know why I acted like that toward you... I think its maybe because I..." His face turned a bright red and he looked away.
"You what?" Liam whispered.
"I..I like you. No wait scratch that I love you!"
Liam's heart picked up pace and he blushed. He guessed now was the time to tell Niall how he felt. "Uh Niall?" He mumbled.
Niall turned around and looked at him. "Yea?"
"I..I love you too. I have for awhile but I never said anything because why would the badboy like you want the nerd like-" Liam was cut off by Niall who had pushed him lightly against a locker and connected their lips. Niall put his hands on Liam's waist and Liam automatically wrapped his arms around Niall's neck. When the pulled away for air Niall latched his lips onto Liam's neck, sucking on his neck, then biting down, and sucking a little bit more then blowing on the bite mark.
"Be mine?" He whispered resting his forehead against Liam's.
"Absoutely."
Niall smiled then pressed another soft kiss to Liam's lips.
"A badboy always needs a perfect nerd to keep him in line." Liam whispered and Niall laughed, keeping his forehead again Liam's and his arms around his waist.
