Jay roared, and flames engulfed Jay, his eyes blazed with intensity. He moved with incredible speed, dodging every splash of water that Belphegor sent his way. It was a fiery dance of battle, and Jay was determined to get closer to the demon.
Jungwon skillfully jumped into the fray, using his power to scratch Belphegor in different directions. The demon winced as he was battered by flames and punches, unable to avoid the onslaught.
Jay managed to pin Belphegor to the ground, his fiery grip unyielding. Desperation flickered in Belphegor's eyes as he gasped for breath.
"Where are our families?!" Jay demanded, his voice a seething growl. Jungwon stood behind him, worry also etched on his face.
Belphegor, still defiant, grinned through his pain. "Only Asmodeus knows the fate of the people in this town. But who knows? He might be dealing with one of your friends as we speak. HAHAHAHA!"
Jungwon's eyes widened in shock at Belphegor's words.
Jay's rage fueled his punch, and he struck Belphegor square in the face. However, instead of a solid impact, his fist passed through the demon's form like it was liquid. Jay's eyes widened in shock as Belphegor's face contorted and rippled, his laughter echoing as he twisted into a watery state.
The liquid rapidly encircled Jay, extinguishing his fiery aura. "Jay!" Jungwon's desperate shout of Jay's name resonated in the chaos. He watched helplessly as his friend was trapped in a water bubble, his features a mix of panic and fury.
As Jay struggled within the liquid prison, Belphegor emerged from the water bubble, his body still dripping and undulating like liquid. He looked at Jungwon with a sinister grin, his voice taunting and cruel. "You're too late, kiddo. It seems your hot-headed friend couldn't handle the heat, and now he's all washed up." Belphegor's laughter rang in Jungwon's ears.
Jungwon was consumed with anger and frustration, but he couldn't make a move, at least not now. But one thing was wrong, Jungwon realized, why did Belphegor have the water powers, when it was supposed to be Leviathan?
In a moment of unwavering determination, Jungwon, fueled by his deep bond with Jay, made a resolute choice. He would not let his friend suffer at Satan's hands. He closed his eyes, concentrated not his energy, but his thoughts, senses, and his emotions. Then he got it. He was facing Belphegor, but he was not entirely there. It was all an illusion.
But a shining light interrupted Jungwon's thoughts, it didn't come from something powerful. It came from Jay's eyes.
As Heeseung searched his destroyed home and realized his family wasn't there, a blast of fire came hurtling towards him. He braced himself, but just before the flames could touch him, a sudden wall of water blocked the fiery assault. It was Sunghoon, his eyes shimmering with determination.
Hoseok, now possessed by Satan, appeared with a sarcastic tone, "Oww darn it, I thought baby boy Heeseung was all alone."
Heeseung turned to Sunghoon and explained, "My family's not here, and many townspeople are missing too."
Sunghoon nodded in understanding, "Mine's nowhere to be found too. And our street is empty, houses destroyed."
Satan, in Hoseok's body, grew impatient. "Enough of this chitchat!" he sneered, readying his flames. However, before he could unleash his fiery attack, a knife shot through the air and stabbed Hoseok's shoulder.
Jake had just arrived, "We're not here for small talk," he said, his eyes locking onto Satan. "We're here to stop you, and we're not leaving without answers."
