"Wake up, Nayeon-unnie."

What?

I felt another nudge at my arms, relentlessly trying to wake me from my slumber.

"Tzuyu?" I mumbled, sleep still evident in my voice.

I heard a chuckle. "Ani, who's that unnie? It's me, Chaeyoung. Remember, it's our first day at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency! We finally get to live our dreams!" She cheerfully shouted, and I felt that she made some little jumps beside my bed.

I slowly opened my eyes just to be blinded momentarily by the sun rays from the opened window curtains. I blinked once or twice just to regain my focus and looked at the woman before me.

Son Chaeyoung. A fresh graduate from the Police Academy, just like me.

She was already wearing our uniform. White long-sleeved polo with stripped necktie of navy blue and white, paired with a navy blue slacks and her newly shined black shoes. Right above her heart spelled out "Officer Son Chaeyoung" engraved on her name tag. "Unnie! Come on! You should get up already. Momo-unnie is waiting for us," she continued to ramble.

I scrunched my nose and slowly sat up. I took a short glance around my room. White walls greeted me with just a small accent of sky blue color on some furniture. It was a sight to get used to, it gives me a sense of calmness. "I'll get ready. Can you tell Momo to wait for a few minutes?" I gently asked Chaeyoung, who's now walking towards my bedroom door.

"Sure, just don't sleep in the showers again, unnie," she chuckled and went out of my room, probably on her way to tell Momo that I'm already awake.

A left out a sigh that I've been holding since I woke. It's the same haunting dream again. The same memories that keep me going. My sister. She's what keeps me going. That's why I'm here, in this godforsaken place. The last place I ever want to be in; to mingle with people whom I have known to take our parents from us. The fucking police society.

This was part of the deal I made with Park Jinyoung. In order for me and Tzuyu to have our revenge, one of us needed to get inside the police force. Me, being myself, offered to be the one to go undercover. I remember earning a sickening smile from that man when I said I would be the one to do it.

He made us get initiated at the organization first. At the tender age of 10, my sister and I both went through some grueling activities. Such as having strenuous trainings with Dahyun. Doing some side missions from time to time.

But what I vividly remember the most was my first kill.

He was just a teenager, just like I was. Probably a few years older. He was in another faction of drug group that opposes our organization. He was so close to an unconscious Tzuyu. Who fainted from the excruciating pain that she had just received from a blow to her head. I remember drawing my revolver, hastily fumbling for some spare bullets, I was fretting. My sister is about to get stabbed to death. Once it was loaded, I cocked it and aimed at the boy. I was breathing erratically as I hesitated for a second. Until I heard her voice, "Shoot the damn gun, Nayeon!"
