Following the wind, came the rain pouring down and hitting the roads of the busy city, Seoul. The only source of light in the area were the street lights due to the fact that the Trilogy Cafe was about to close. Kim Nari sighed as she finished cleaning the last table of the day thinking about already going home and lying in bed.
Her co-worker also known as her best friend, Choi Seo-Ah was also with her and was ready to leave for the day as both of them had been working for hours and were exhausted.
"Finally we're done cleaning up, I've been meaning to go home!" Seo-ah implied after sitting on one of the chairs while placing the broom next to her.
On that comment, Nari only hummed in response while lost in thought, not really paying attention to what her friend was rambling about. The thought about going home and facing her father terrified her.
After not hearing a proper answer from Nari, Seo-ah furrowed her eyebrows and was starting to get concerned since she hasn't spoke that much ever since her shift started. "Hey are you okay, you seem a little down?"
"Oh I'm fine no need to worry." As she turned to look at her while putting on a fake yet cheerful smile to make her think that she's okay.
"Okay but if you need to talk about anything, I'm here for you." While saying that, Seo-ah walked up to her and gave her a hug. While doing so, Nari hugged her back smiling as she realized how good of a friend she has and how she's so lucky to have her.
As they pulled back from the hug, Nari looked at her before saying, "Yes, I will thank you."
So, after a few minutes they began packing up their stuff to leave as they had already cleaned up. "Alright, I think my sister is here to pick me up so I'll be leaving. Oh and text me when you get home bye Nari!" Seo-ah left the cafe and out to her sister's car running so she doesn't get soaked in the rain. As they drove off Nari sighed again for what felt like the 10th time she did throughout the entire day. She turned off the lights and locked the door as she was getting ready to open her umbrella.
Since she didn't live that far from the cafe, it was easy to get home, just a little scary though since the street lights were flickering constantly which made her a little skeptical about the night. As she held the umbrella in one hand while the other grabbing her bag tightly, she walked as fast as she could while her head was looking at the ground, her breath trembling because of how creepy the ally she was walking in was.
