I opened the large freezer, my eyes wandering over all of the drink options in it. My eyes landed on a snapple, and I reached in and grabbed it. The door suddenly shut, making me gasp and turn around.

"B-billie!" I gasped, immediately growing nervous in her presence. She looked intimidating but at the same time I found it attractive.

She was wearing a large sweater and baggy jeans, a beanie on her head, covering some of her colorful hair. Her eyes were the most mesmerizing, God, this woman was a goddess.

"Hey mama," she grinned at me but it quickly fell. She was nervous, "Who were you with last night? Your girlfriend?"

My eyebrows furrowed, wondering who in the hell She was talking about. My eyes lit up in realization.

"Ash? Ash isn't my partner. They're just a friend."

Her eyes widened for a moment, and she looked embarrassed as she looked down at the ground for a moment.

"I didn't mean to misgender them or-"

I smiled, "Its okay, what are you here for?"

I was surprised with how casual this conversation was going. Billie was actually really sweet.

"Random shit, I'm here with Finn, er, my brother." She quickly explained, rocking on her heels anxiously.

I raised an eyebrow at her, "Are you nervous?" I said teasingly.

"Hah, pshh, no, why the hell would you think that?"

I shook my head with a grin, "Oh, nevermind then."

We stared at eachother for a moment, I could tell she wanted to say something, so I waited. This was new behavior for me. Billie always seemed to be calm and collected. I was growing insanely curious now.

"You guys looked like you were in the middle of something last night." She said slowly, looking to the side.

My cheeks immediately flushed and I bit the inside of my cheek to stop my embarrassed smile.

Billie raised an eyebrow at me, noticing my reaction.

"Why, you jealous?" I gathered the courage to speak, lifting my head.

She was watching me carefully, an unreadable look in her eyes. She smirked at me, glancing down at what I was wearing before returning her gaze to my eyes. Her head tilted to the side, as if challenging me.

God, she was hot.

Before she could say anything, I saw her eyes shift behind me, watching whatever was there.

"Bils, you won't believe the phone call I just got."

A man with ginger hair stepped up beside me, his voice making me jump slightly. He shot me a smile before making his way over to Billie. Her eyes seemed to light up when she looked at him.

"I have to get going, see you later mamas." Billie winked, tugging on Finneas' sleeve to urge him away with her.

I watched them walk away, still trying to figure out what the hell just happened. Was Billie fucking jealous? Did what she see last night bother her so much that she ASKED me about it?

Fuck fuck fuck. I liked it, I shouldn't have, but I did. I wanted Billie to care. In a daze, I clutched my snapple and walked away.

BILLIE
"Who is that girl?" Finneas asked lightly, as if trying to make it seem like he wasn't pushing the question but I knew he was curious.

"Our neighbor." I shrugged, unlocking the front door and entering the warm house. Our parents weren't home, and they wouldn't be for a few days. I can't recall why, since I had zoned Finneas out when he was telling me.

I kicked my shoes off and headed up to my room.

"Do you wanna help me with lunch?" Finneas yelled from the kitchen.

I shook my head, "Nah, I'm gonna write."

"Got it."

That was usually my excuse if I wanted to be alone, but this time I actually did feel like writing. Now that I was away from Willow, I realized how fucking weird that was to come up to her and ask about her sex life. God, I fucked up.

I reached my room, turning my regular lights on and heading to my desk. I made sure to open my window, letting the cool breeze flow into my room. I opened my notebook, the rings I was wearing clinking onto the wood of the desk as I bumped it.

My mind wandered to the last time I sat here, trying to write. When I had that dream about Willow. She was getting in my head, shit, she was even in my dreams and it had only been what, a week?

I needed to talk to her, but how? She was probably creeped out by me now. I should ask for her number or something. And as I looked up, I knew God was in my favor. There she stood, right in front of her window.

I leaned over my desk, cupping my hands around my mouth and yelling her name. She stayed there, completely clueless. I sighed, doing it again but louder.

She turned around, her eyebrows furrowed. When she saw me, she walked over to her window, opening it and propping her elbows on the windowsill.

"Yeah?"

"Think you can give me your number?" I chuckled, praying she wouldn't reject me.

She raised an eyebrow at me, "For?"

I looked to the side, as if I was thinking, "Friendly neighbor shit."

She chuckled, and God was it the cutest thing I've ever heard.

"Come over around 5 tomorrow." She simply said and shut her window, not even giving me a second glance as she walked away and where I'm assuming out of her room.

I stood there for a second, dumbfounded. She wanted me to...come over? What the fuck did that mean? I didn't even get the fucking number and was just left here in confusion.

This girl was gonna mess me up.
