Edgar's POV:

I looked inside the shop. It didn't seem  like much, but the boss seemed very bold of it. I don't understand why, anyway. But some money would do great for now. As soon as I enter the shop, me and the boss get welcomed by a strange girl. Not only that her hair was white, very unusual for her age, but she had sharp teeth, red eyes and strange clothing, plus holding a scrapbook. She looked straight in to my eyes, her gaze so deep and hard to read, as if she was trying to consume my existence. I turned my head away, fixing my scarf.

"You'll work after the counter, Edward" The boss said. I rolled my eyes, a small groan released out of my throat. "It's Edgar, not Edward." I muttered, taking my hands out of my pockets and walking to the counter. I sat behind it while the boss talked to the strange girl. Since the shop was empty, I decided to make a small, uncalled-for break. I leant on my chair and put my arms under my head, closing my eyes. As soon as I open them, I see the strange girl's head over mine, smiling like crazy. "AH! What are you doing?!" I got startled, almost hitting her. The girl backed off a bit, she clearly didn't know what 'personal space' is. "Oh, I just wanted to welcome you to the Starr Shop! What's your name? Do you have hobbies? What's with that scarf? Are you emo?" She asked, slightly bouncing on her tip toes. I blinked, as I hesitated to answer. "Um...I'm Edgar." I  said, then  moved backwards. ''Cool name! Mind if I get your autograph?!" She pushed a book in my face and a pen, forcing me sign it. "whatever.." I signed the book. She gave me a badge with 'Hi! My name is ______' on it. I raised my look, and I wrote 'x_x' on it. She immediately snatched it, gluing it in her weird book. She gave me another one, with the same big smile as before. This girl freaks me out, I shuddered.

"Before you start working here, you must complete a small training session! Come on!" She reached her hand to me. I got up, fixing my badge and following her quietly. "what's your name again?" I asked her, my eyes darting around the shop. "I'm Colette! Your new best friend." She smiled, tossing me a broom. "Here." I caught it, pouting. Did she just proclaim herself my best friend? "We'll see about that." I grumbled, as I started sweeping the floor. While I cleaned the floor, She stood at the counter, and every time a person entered the show, she went crazy. Colette asked them for an autograph, then stole something from them (like their ring, a patch, an object, whatever she could basically) and gave them whatever they wanted. Man, she's really weird, I thought, minding my own business.
After a while, she grabbed me by my scarf and dragged me behind the counter. "Hey! " I groaned, my eyes filled with annoyance. "Now it's your turn to serve a customer!" She said with a smile, fixing my badge. "Always remember: be nice and smile! Let's see that smile of yours" she put her hands at her mouth, raising her fingers as her smile grows. I stared at her unsure, then faked a smile. "Oh..! Well... yeah, do that. " she muttered, the smile fading a bit. "Okay, I'm going to bring some boce sin the back. Take care emo boy!" she grinned before dashing out.
I sat behind the counter and waited for what seemed like hours, when finally a customer walked in. I put my head in my palm and said "Hi, welcome to Starr Shop. What can I do for you, or something.. " The customer didn't seem really convinced, and rather unsure, but  he asked me for a T-Shirt. I went in the back and brought back one, putting it in a bag. "Are you always this moody and lazy? " He asked, pouting. "Hurry up, I don't have all day. ". I chose to ignore him, giving him the bag. " It's 20 gems."
A few more people came by, but they didn't look very happy that the crazy girl behind the counter was replaced by a moody guy. I don't care anyway, I just want money, I thought. I closed the shop and started to sweep the floor like the boss asked me a few hours ago. The girl showed up again, holding a bag. "Hey, the work day is over! Youcan go home, or stay... I don't mind! " She smiled, squinting her eyes. I stared awkwardly, scratching the back of my neck. "Yeah, uh, I'll just go home I think. "
"Okay! but before you leave, please take this. " she handed me a piece of paper.
