This is exactly as it sounds, your typical Barbie x Ken love story where they're perfect for each other and parents compare them to their kids and say "this is how it's supposed to go, a Barbie and a Ken". Except Ken's a girl, they're lesbians. They're also world famous musicians, Barbie is a world renowned pop star who makes queer inclusive songs.

And Ken plays the electric guitar also creating world renowned songs that are queer inclusive. Though they're mostly about women, all of them are of course made for her lovely popstar girlfriend.
Though with how controversial everything was with the media, the haven't come out yet, of course they want to, just haven't found the right time yet.

"KISS, KISS, KISS, KISS, KISS, KISS, KISS, KISS, KISS"
The crowd chanted after they finished their performance, Barbie and Ken decided to go on tour together and team up thinking that it would make for some pretty big hits. Though things quickly changed after somebody in the crowd yelled 'kiss' up at the stage, after that it only took a minute for the whole crowd to start shouting it as well.
Barbie looked at her girlfriend, who was already looking at her, and there was almost a spark of hope in her eyes.
"This is it" she whispered, heaving in breath, still out of it from the song they just finished. "This is our chance, Ken if we are going to come out then what better time to do that then right now? Practically the whole crowd is yelling at us to kiss".
"Baby-" Ken stopped mid sentence to put her guitar down and pull her lover into an intimate and sweet kiss on stage, leaving the crowd in momentary shock. "-you just read my mind", she laughed after pulling away, still drunk from the utter joy.
The momentary shock the crowd was in didn't last long as soon they erupted in excitement, followed by the request for another kiss- they of course dutifully replied by practically making out on stage -and enormous laughter.
------§the next week§------
"So, Ken, how do you walk with so much confidence? It's always been such a big talk since you blew up, everyone's always talking about it, your fans have even gone so far as to make a tiktok trend out of it and try and mimic your walk. But none of them truly had that KEN flare, y'know? So how do you do it?", a reporter asked Ken at an interview.
"Simple" Ken replied, "walk like you own the place, or walk like you don't care who does". She laughed, confidence seemingly seeping off of her.
"Of course. Moving onto the next question, about a week ago you and the famous popstar Barbie did a joint performance, the crowd starting yelling 'kiss' at you guys and you two obliged. How did you feel about that? Was it awkward between you two after that?" The reporter nosed.
"Well I'm not sure about Barbie, but I for one quite enjoyed it, it wasn't awkward at all. Considered we do that all day long at our house" she laughed.
"Oh, you guys live together? I see, so it must not be awkward then, your boyfriends surely must have been a tad bit upset though?".
"Oh, ma'am neither of us have boyfriends" Ken wondered how someone could be so dimwitted in this society, they both quite literally made songs about the queer community.
"Surely you do though? You have both mentioned lovers before, did you break it off?" The reporter couldn't be more in the 1800's.
"No, I dont think you understand. We're dating each other" Ken didn't know whether to be laughing or a tad annoyed.
"Oh! I see! My mistake, I thought you both liked men" the reporter replied, mumbling the last part
"It's all fine, nope, we're both lesbians!".

Ken sat on the couch, her head on her girlfriends thigh, hugging the other one. The chaotic interview still on her mind.
"Ken? Are you ok?" Barbie worried.
"Hm? Oh, yeah. I'm fine, just thinking about how little progress the world has had, considering it's 2025 I thought that we would've been somewhere better, guess not"
"Yeah, it's awful. We knew that coming out was going to be hard, but we have each other so I'm sure that's more than enough" she soothed.
"I suppose I do have you, don't I?" Ken teased.
"I can't believe this! Are you saying that you don't think I'm enough?" She whined jokingly.
"I'm teasing, I'm teasing. You are WAAAAAY more than enough".
"Ken! I'm going to throw you to the wolves! You can't have anymore of my pizza!".
"Awww, ok, I'm sooorrrry, do you forgive me?".
"No. I don't".
Ken gasped dramatically as she stood up and looked at her lover, putting her hand over her chest to act offended. "I can't believe this, blasphemy".
Barbie smiled, "well maybe you should have been nicer to me!".
"Aww, come on. I said I'm sorry!" Ken said as she inched closer to her.
"And I don't forgive you! Be nice to me".
"I am nice to you! Forgive me" Ken was sitting right in front of Barbie, looking into her gorgeous soft baby blue eyes, inches away from her face.
"Hmm" Barbie hummed, leaning in and closing the distance between them and kissing her significant other as if it had been weeks since they last met. She cupped Ken's face with her hands and gently stroked her cheek, when she pulled away Ken was blushing slightly, she chuckles and lays her head on Kens. "Okay, I forgive you." She murmured, smiling softly at her lover.
"Good." Ken said, then connected their lips again, moving her hand to the back of Barbie's neck, the other moved to her hip, gently rubbing circles with her thumb.
"Tease." Barbie whined softly when Ken licked her bottom lip then pulled away. Ken grinned devilishly.
"You know you love me." They said softly, pulling Barbie into their lap.
Barbie's hands fell to Ken's shoulders, and she smiled. "I do."
"Good."
