Rhysand p.o.v~

It was just another boring day of being High Lord. There was never any difference. With anything.

Tamlin was being a bitch as usual, to literally everyone at the High Lord's meeting. Beron didn't want to agree with anything anybody said, which was a little change because usually it was just the Night Court he didn't agree with. Helion had the same unicorn sparkle pen out that he used to sign every official document, making it look like a kid was doing the work. Kallias was fighting with Beron today, his powers slowly leaking out making the room turn to ice. Lastly, Thesan decided today that he was going to pick a fight with Tarquin about who had better sunsets in their courts, which was stupid because obviously the Night Court has the best. But most importantly, my mate was sitting right next to me looking as stunningly gorgeous as ever.

Feyre darling?

Making a subtle movement that only I would notice, she quickly raised her eyes to glance at me then back down to the wooden table. Her eyes were shining with annoyance.

What do you want, Rhys?

Oh my, in a mood today are we darling?

She looked up to me once more, however it was not subtle this time. In clear annoyance she spoke through our bond.

Rhys, all I want is to go back to our baby.

Oh, trust me darling, all I want to do is take you to my bed. Maybe do a certain activity?

She rolled her eyes finally looking at me in the eyes.

You Illyrian prick, you would be so happy if we could just leave this idiotic meeting, wouldn't you?

How did you know?

Just to get my point across more I sent her some specific images I thought she would love through our bond, feeling a certain enjoyment when her expression changed to a flush of color. I smiled at her knowing what would be happening later.

However, all she did was smile back. Cauldron damn me.

Why are you smiling so much?

Hmmm, maybe because I plan to ignore a certain Illyrian later so that he never gets my attention again.

Oh that's not so nice darling.

What can I say, I've learned from the best.

She shrugged her shoulders knowing that her plan would work to its full capacity. Although, what she didn't know is that it was already working, but I would never admit to that.

Oh stop brooding Rhys, you are fine.

Darling, I cannot listen to these pricks any longer. It's rotting my brain cells.

I thought they were already damaged? I mean, you do have your annual snowball fights Rhys, that's not so very 'High Lord of the Night Court' of you is it.

"Stop eye fucking your mate Rhysand and pay the fuck attention."

The sudden outburst from Beron caught everyone's attention. All the High Lords were now staring at me and my mate. Although, all I could do was smile at all of their angry faces on me. Except for Helion of course, his face was twisted with pure amusement, turning his sparkly unicorn pen in his fingers.

Oh stop it you prick, I know you like them staring at you. Pay attention.

Oh Feyre darling, you ruin all of my fun.

"Sorry Beron, I just couldn't help myself when she is sitting right in front of me like this." With a cunning smile adorning my face, I watched as his twisted into hatred once again. Some might think he was born with that face, oh how scared his mother must've been.

"You Illyrian bastard." He yelled starting to get up from his seat. However, Thesan stopped him right away realizing what was about to happen.

"Just calm down you bastards, this happens every meeting." Tarquin stated, looking coldly over everyone.

"If we had something important to discuss it would never happen." Kallias said as matter of factly.

Oh I think it would happen either way Feyre had said down the bond.

I laughed silently knowing that everyone got more aggressive with topics that were life threatening. None of us could ever agree on anything.

Ever since the war passed there were only certain things that all the High Lord's ever agreed on. Beron finally learned his lesson with asking for help, especially if it meant his Court's imminent extinction. Tamlin was never any easier, and honestly, he would never become easier. The rest of the High Lords were easier to deal with now ever since we got them to agree with us on plans for eliminating the King of Hybern. Even though it took a while, I am still grateful for the armies and legions they provided.

After the war most everything was peaceful with each High Lord individually. All Courts lived in tranquility. Although in our own ways things were definitely proceeding forward. In the Night Court Feyre finally had our wonderful baby Nyx, and even though some things went incredibly wrong I was grateful for Nesta. I still have the most awkward relationship with her but ever since she saved both Feyre and our child things have been good. Except for when her and Cassian are all over each other... all the damn time.

That was one thing I would never get used to. Never.

With the pleasant sound of the birds chirping and the moon and sun slowly exchanging greetings both my mate and I hoped nothing would ever come to destroy it again.

Isn't this nice Feyre darling?

Rhys, never jinx us please.

Caldron damn me if I ever jinx our wonderful world.

The juxtaposition of what I just announced through my mating bond would surely entitle me to a life in the Prison.

Before my eyes lay a coffin. No. A metal box, sealed shut to never let anything out of it. Either for worse or for better, I didn't know.

Good job you prick, may the Cauldron damn you.

I've never agreed more with my mate before in that moment.
