Following The White Rabbit

Once they reached the garden, both Alice and Lizzie had a little chat.

The garden was really lovely, filled with flowers, bushes, and a greenhouse.

Lizzie said to her brother, "Now remember my dear brother, you must focus on your studies as much as..."

That's when she trailed off of her sentence as she sees the white roses in the garden.

Lizzie sighed deeply and said, "Oh Goodness, I thought Mother told the gardener to do red roses not white."

Alice turns to his sister and asked, "Why not just paint them red?"

Lizzie raised a brow before she let out a well mannered laugh.

She stopped laughing and said, "Oh nonsense dear brother. You can't paint really the roses. You can pain one on a picture yes but not on the real deal. Pain the roses."

She let out a small throat laugh while Alice sighed.

He heard rustling in the bushes as he looked to see something.

Something white and fluffy. Alice asked, "Lizzie did you see that?"

Lizzie looks at where her brother saw but saw nothing but bushes. She asked, "See what if I may ask?"

Alice looks to see nothing but bushes as he said, "Oh my, I coulda sworn there was something there."

Though both siblings continued walking down the path to a tree next to a clear pond.

Alice and Lizzie sat down as they had their books in hand.

The two opened their stories as Lizzie taught her brother to read.

That's when Lizzie asked, "Say you don't happen to have forgotten your sword for fencing classes have you?"

Alice replied to her, "Of course not sister dearest. It's in the room Father kept his swords after all. Anyways, we still have time until my fencing classes, so let's do what we must."

Lizzie shook her head before she said, "Listen Alice. I may get engaged by next week so we won't have much time anymore."

Alice looks down before he asked, "Will you be able to visit me dear sister?"

Lizzie smiled a little before she answered, "Of course my dear little brother. Just because I will be married soon does not mean I won't be able to visit."

That's when Lizzie said to Alice, "Your time will come soon my dear brother. But remember, I'll always be here for you Alice."

Alice replied softy, "I know you will."

Alice felt better. As long as he can remember, Lizzie has been there for Alice since he was a little boy.

Even before his little dress wearing phase, she supported him.

Alice and Lizzie hugged for a bit before they resumed reading.

That's when their mothers voice called out, "Elizabeth! Your fiancé is here for a visit."

Lizzie stood up and turned to her brother and said, "Oh muffins. I forgot the lord of Kingston was gonna be here today. I gotta meet up with him. We'll resume our reading shortly. I'll be right back."

Alice nodded in understanding as Lizzie walks back to the house.

Alice leaned on the tree before seeing something caught his eyes.

He gasped, it was a white rabbit in his eyes.

Alice gasped and asked, "Is that, a white rabbit?"

He looked at him as he squinted his eyes. The white rabbit caught a glimpse of Alice without turning.

It thought, "This is the one who will put a stop to the King Of Hearts Reign. I haft to lure him away and towards the rabbit hole."

Alice took a closer look at it and to his surprise. It was wearing a gentleman style suit (a purple top hat, a raspberry colored jacket with a blue collar and pockets, a faded raspberry color ribbon on the top hat, and satin gloves) in his hand a golden pocket watch.

Alice asked, "A rabbit in a suit and a pocket watch?"

The white rabbit thought as he hopped off, "Alright time for the follow."

Alice followed the rabbit as it spoke, "Oh my, oh dear. I'm so going to be late."

Alice stopped on his tracks as he said, "Oh my word, it spoke. I must've had too much tea this morning."

But that didn't stop Alice from following the rabbit as the white rabbit hopped along the path.

The white rabbit thought as Alice kept following him, "That's it, follow the rabbit."

That's when it happened, the white rabbit hopped into a rabbit hole as Alice stopped in his tracks.

Alice said to himself as he sees a large magnolia tree, "Huh?"

He looked at the rabbit hole before he said to himself with a confused look on his face, "I could swear this rabbit hole wasn't here before."

Alice sat down on his knees as he looked at it. Alice asked as he stuck his head in the rabbit hole a little, "Hello? Little rabbit?"

No answer, but as Alice stood up and was about to leave, he accidentally stepped on a unstable piece of ground and fell into the rabbit hole as he screamed.

That was the beginning of Alice's adventure.
