Welcome to the end of this crazy, disastrous ride! Thank you for joining me along the way. It's been a lot longer and more chaotic than I expected.
I don't have as many organized thoughts for this as I did for Ashes to Ashes. I'm still reeling with the idea that I actually finished. For so long, I felt like I couldn't because I was afraid of the imperfection of this draft, and I still am. I have my work cut out for me with the rewrite, but for now, I've earned a nice long break.
Thank You!
To everyone who has made it to the end, thank you. It's difficult to get readers to follow a story to the end on Wattpad, and even harder to get them to the sequel, and EVEN HARDER to get them to finish a sequel! There's so many stories out there, but you chose to read mine. As a writer, there's nothing more flattering than this, so thank you!
Thank you to my friends who encouraged me to keep going when I didn't think I could. I definitely would not have made it this far without you guys.
Thank you to the people in my Discord who showed such excitement for this story (and the duology in general)! Your emoji spams, goofy messages, and support mean the world to me.
By the way, did you know I have a reader Discord? You can find the link to the server in my bio; look for the channel named #of-darkness-and-dragons-gate and you'll find the key to join my little corner! ;)
What's Next?
I have no idea! For now, I think this will be the end of the Ashes duology. I don't have any plans for other stories, aside from maybe some cute little oneshots and short stories. As I've mentioned before, I have plans to rewrite both books (I've actually started the rewrite for Ashes to Ashes) and eventually publish them, but I'm working on publishing my main series at the moment, so this will be a little while coming. But stay tuned! I'll keep you guys posted.
Extras!
I already mentioned my reader discord, but I didn't mention what I actually do there--aside from chat and hang out with you guys. I frequently post art, updates, and the occasional bonus story. If you're looking for more, that's a great place to go!
If you're looking for other ways to support me, consider joining my Patreon where you can get early access to my upcoming books for as little as $1 a month. Or you can drop a tip in my Ko-fi and essentially buy me a nice cup of hot chocolate or a snack because I am a college student. I always need those things. You can find the links to both of these things as well as links to buy my other works (if you're interested) in my bio!
But of course, I also understand that not everyone has the funds to give out. If that's the case, you can support me by following me on Wattpad or Instagram, sharing my story with your friends, or just commenting your thoughts!
And finally, some questions!
--Who is your favorite character? Was it the same character as your favorite from Ashes to Ashes?
--Who is your least favorite character?
--What was your favorite scene?
--Other thoughts? Don't be shy! I'd love to hear what you're thinking or feeling about the story!
Thank you once again for joining me on Feiko's journey! It's been a pleasure to share their story with you all.
