"Uh this question is so confusing!!" Cal sighed as she was solving her assignment at the library she had a free period.

Em and Amy were attending their period and Alistair was also attending his lecture so Cal was sitting by herself and doing her work until someone came and sat on the seat beside her.

"Hey miss! " the guy said trying to grab her attention but she ignored him and kept on doing her work.

"Hey darling I'm talkin to you". The guy said again but cal didn't pay attention so he got up and sat in seat beside her and he took the assignment due to which she had to pay attention to him.

"What do you want?" She asks.

"Nothing I just wanted to spend some time with you".

"And why do you think I'll waste my precious time with a guy like you!'

"Because I want you to".

Cal chuckled and got up to go from there when the guy stopped her from going.

"Where do you think you're going? I'm still talking to you".

"Don't waste my time and get to the point."

"Okk fine so, tell me what's between you and Alistair? Did you sleep with him?"

Cal gasped at his question.

"What nonsense!? No".

"But it doesn't look like, i mean the way he looks at you tells otherwise".

"How does he look at me?"

"Like he wants to eat you".

Cal felt her cheeks heating.

"No um u have some misunderstanding there's nothing between us , we're just enemies and I'm just his tutor nothing more".

"Ok so that means I have a chance then".

"I'm sorry what?!".

"I mean I can be your boyfriend you know ".

"Watch you mouth!" Someone spoke.

It was no one other than Caroline's brother, Kai.

"Hey! What are you doing here?"
Cal asked hugging her brother.

"Nothing I just returned from US and I missed my sister so I thought of visiting her and I Guessed you might at be library and guess what I found you and a idiot was troubling you ." He replied.

"Now will you go or want all your bones broken?" Kai asked glaring at the guy who was flirting with Cal.

The guy glared and went from there.

"So, do you have classes?" Kai asked Cal

"Yes".

"Ohk I was thinking we could go to the place where we used to go when we were younger buti guess next time ok then I'm going you can attend your classes". Kai said.

"No! I'll skip classes for today let's go there and moreover I'm hungry, but don't tell mom I skipped classes " cal said.

"Okay let's go then".

"Wow it feels so nice visiting this place after so long ". Cal said.

" Yeah but didn't you visit here when I was gone?" Kai asked.

"No, because this place would remind me of you and i would have started missing you andi didn't want to miss my annoying brother ". Cal said.

"Hey!! I'm not annoying you are the one who annoys me!" Kai exclaimed.

"Whatever! But it feels good to visit this lake after so long ". Cal said.

"True! So let's go back now?!" Kai asked.

"Nooo it's too early to go back" Cal pouted.

"Aye! Don't pout you look so stupid ". Kai said making fun of Cal.

"Whatever". Cal said.

"Whateva~" he said mimicking his sister and laughed.

But his laugh was interrupted by Cal's phone.

She saw who was calling her .

It was Alistair.

She picked up the call.

"Hell-" she didn't even get to complete her sentence as Alistair spoke.

"Where are you? Are you okay? Are you fine? Are you in danger? Tell me I'll come to you?" He spoke without any pause.

"Woah woah calm down Alis , I'm fine , I skipped classes today and I'm with my brother no need to worry" she spoke.

"Brother? Do you have a brother? You never told me?" Alistair asked .

"Yea i have a elder brother, and FYI there's no rule that says you need to know everything about me". She replied.

"Ohh? Wow I like your audacity, seems like you forget that your punishment is due yet babygirl ". He said ,

As soon as she heard those words she blushed.

Without saying anything she cut the call.

"Who was it?" Kai asked.

"No one just a friend ".

"Doesn't seem like , I mean look at your face and I guess it was a guy ,so tell me what he said that made you blush?".

"Uh nothing just he was concerned for me ".

"Oh I see" Kai said.

"Let's go back " Cal said changing the topic.

Cal and Kai reached home.

"Mom! See who's here!". Cal said.

"Who-" she was cut off when she saw her son after so long.

"Oh my! Kai , my baby , I missed you a lot! Weren't you supposed to come day after tomorrow?" Mom asked.

"Yea, I wanted to surprise you all so I arrived early and at first I wanted to surprise my stupid sister so I just visited her uni and we hung out at Lake Winnipesaukee". Kai spoke.

"Okay, now freshen up and come downstairs for dinner ".

"Okay mom!" Both said and went upstairs to their rooms.

Cal sighed and sat on the bed, she checked her Phone.

She had multiple messages from Amy and Em

But she was surprised when she saw a text from Alistair.

She decided to open Alistair's message first.

Alistair

Hey lil kitten!
What happened why did you cut the call, did i make you flustered?
Anyways when is next tutoring session?

No I wasn't flustered
There was some network issue so it got cut
I didn't cut the call

Ok as you say princess!
When is next tutoring session? We have tests upcoming week
So I need your help
Are you free now?
Can you tutor me today?

No I'm not free yet
Sorry but I can't come to your house today
Let's schedule it tomorrow.

Okay then I'll come to your house

My apologies for updating after a whole damn month but I was busy with my exams so yeah I wasn't able to update
