The Dark King and his Queen Pearl

Chapter 1

It was the era when the human species lived in their, kingdom Humanarian along with other kingdoms in harmony. The other supernatural creatures were dominant too. Lightness and Darkness co-existed. But the humans were protected from other creatures and respected the most among all due to the presence of the "well of blue water". It was the center of pureness and lightness. The guardians of the well were known as elders. Elders had been there for many thousand years, guarding the well. All big decisions related to other supernatural kingdoms were taken with the approval of Elders. Their words were considered final.

It was said that the well contained a magical pearl which is now hidden somewhere else. That pearl had unique magical powers and it could end the evil.

Twenty years ago, the owner of all the evilness, The Evil had attacked the Humanarian Kingdom. A great war was fought but many secrets related to that war were kept hidden. Only a few people were aware of that night.  Even taking the name of evil was forbidden. It was to make sure that no one would utter any word related to that night and the secrets attached to it. Until the time came. The time when the prophecy would be fulfilled.

The story of the pearl became a folk tale and myth for the people. But they were not aware of the fact that the end was nearing.

A girl was riding on a brown mare. She was running into the forest outside the territory of her kingdom. The kingdom of humans. The forest was famous for the presence of unique and rare deer along with some other wild animals. Her maroon gown was flowing on the sides along with her cloak.

The light golden rays of the rising sun were casting bronze and firey glow with dry autumn leaves. The girl was running from east to west but someone else was coming from west to east. They both were the predators of common prey, the rare deer. The dear was running away from the girl and moving in the direction of its other predator of whom he was unaware.

The other predator caught the deer from its neck, before her. His tall and broad figure was covered in black attire. He was also wearing a white and black scarf, covering his head and face.

"Hey, leave the poor animal. I have just broken the face of your other hunter partner." She yelled at him. She was facing his back.

It was true that many hunters came into the forest for illegal hunting and abducting that deer for sale.

Her threat did not affect the man.

"So, you won't listen nicely." She gritted. She got down from her horse.

"Come on, Sophie let's give him the test of his own medicine." She whispered to her horse. She picked up a stone and threw it at the man.

But he caught the stone in his other hand without looking back, before it could touch him.

The girl gasped loudly. But she did not lower her courage.

"I said leave him alone!" she took two steps in his direction but in a nanosecond she was on the ground and the man was on her top.

When and how it happens? The girl was breathing heavily. She could only see his eyes. The man raised his hand in which he was carrying the stone. The girl closed her eyes in fear. She thought her end time had come.

But she heard a splashing sound. The stone landed close to the right side of her face. The man crushed the deadly snack with the stone, who was ready to take the girl's life.

When after a few moments she felt herself still alive, she slowly opened her eyes. Her brown orbs focused on his golden amber eyes. She had never seen such eye color.
