"Wake up... wake up... It's a brand new dayyy! Hey! Wake up... Wake up... everything...", the alarm went off at 6:00 am. Hardly opening her eyes, Dorothy lazily grabbed her mobile on the side rack. She silenced the alarm and opened her eyes to see the sun dancing on the peach walls casting a golden glow all over the room. The usual day has started, but this time at a new place. She got up from her bed, turned on the music, tossed the mobile on the bed, and started to get ready for the day. She was all set for work by 9:00 a.m.

Just as she was about to leave to get her breakfast she got a call, and as she picked up,

"Hi there moon pie! Are you all set?", said a sweet voice from the other end.

"Good morning, Mom!! Yeah, I am ready, just about to grab my breakfast from the kitchen".

"Great! Don't be late on your first day. All the best! Take care!"

"Okay, Mom! You too take care! Bye Bye!"

Today is Dorothy's first day at work, apprenticeship to be exact. She is about to graduate from her undergraduate program, and she landed the job she had always wanted. She is delighted and nervous at the same time. She has usually been scared her whole life, she is now scared that she might do something, and would screw up her dream job.

Moreover, she is all alone in a new city, away from home for the first time. She took a room in a hostel, but she has yet to get her new roommates. After the call, she quickly completed her breakfast and packed her lunch. Her neighbouring roommates have been hospitable, and a senior colleague, Kacey, living in the same place offered to accompany her to the office since she was not familiar with the place and route.

They headed out together towards the IT park. It took about 15 minutes to reach the gate and since it was the first day, she had only a visitor pass and had to complete some formalities. Her mind was filled with mixed feelings of happiness and nervousness, looking at the majestic structures in front of her.

It was getting late, so Kacey said, "Hey I am sorry! But I have a meeting in 10 minutes and must leave. The route from here to our office block is not as difficult as that from PG to the gate. So let me tell you the way, call me if you get lost. Our office is on the Ground floor of Block A. Take the road you see there, the one opposite the fire truck, walk straight and take the second left. You will find a small path before the first right turn, take it. You can find a building with the names of X, Y, and Z companies on it. That is our building, check for our company name upon entering the building. Feel free to call me if anything comes up.". With that, she left the place.

It took a while for the formalities to complete. Dorothy headed towards the company, took the road ahead, and then the second left. But now she forgot if Kacey said, "The building on the right", or "The building behind which she can reach with the short pathway on her right". She was indeed stuck but didn't want to call Kacey and disturb her either.

She stood there, on the side pathway, with a few drops of sweat on her forehead, whether to head to the building straight up ahead or the building behind. Luckily a girl came along the way, and she asked,

"Hey hi! I am new to this place. Could you please direct me to block A?"

The girl showed her the way and Dorothy took it. She was finally at the door by 10.

"Phew! Finally,", she thought as she blew some cold air out of her mouth to calm herself down while pressing the doorbell. Someone came and opened the door and took her to the meeting room. In a few minutes, a lady from the HR staff came in and handed over an NDA for her to sign and some more stuff like a teacup and sweets to welcome her.
