[2] Prom Night

~Two Years Later~

"... and then what happens?"

"Then I wake up. Just like I always did..." Ryan trails off, as she speaks to her therapist about her past trauma she's been having since her family was brutally murdered. Kelly, Ryan's therapist nods her head.

"Just like I told you before, the nightmares is associate form of reliving the real experience. The real thing that happened. It's expected to happen, Ryan." Kelly speaks softly and Ryan sighs.

"I know... the nightmares went away for a long time, and I can't believe they're back."

"Ryan, it's gonna take more than two years to not think about it, but you're doing absolutely amazing." Kelly gives her a sympathetic look and sits up in her chair.

"Think of him as a phantom to you now, he was caught and was locked away forever. The only place where he can hurt you is in your dreams." Kelly smiles sadly at her.

"I just thought they stopped." Ryan sigh softly and Kelly nods.

"Psychological trauma often heightens during time in transition. You don't need me to tell you that your life is in transition. High school is coming to an end, college in the fall. The uncertainty that comes to being an adult." Kelly smiles softly as Ryan smiles softly back.

"The memories of that night will come and go and fade with time, but you will never forget it, Ryan. Just like you won't forget about tomorrow night, but hopefully that'll be a memory you won't forget." Kelly smiles at Ryan who returns the same smile.

Kelly stands from her chair and extend her hand out to Ryan, and she takes it, standing up as well.

"Ryan I want you to know that you are a very strong young woman. I know you're gonna get through this because I believe in you." Kelly speaks in a motherly tone which makes Ryan's smile wider.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome. Now I want you to make sure you have the time of your life at your prom tomorrow night. Don't let it ruin your night, sweetie."

   ~Hair Salon~

"So, what color is your dress Ry?" Sabrina asks and Ryan smiles beautifully.

"It's a long red halter mermaid dress with appliqués beading designs, so it's pretty sexy." Ryan blushes and Gabriella smirks.

"Ooo that does sound pretty sexy."

"You wanna talk about sexy, Ry? You should see Gabi's dress with the pop out cleavage. I know those big boobs are going to be the star of the show when she's announced prom queen. And with Chris on your side, he's gonna love you in that dress." Sabrina winks at Gabi and she giggles along with Ryan.

"Yeah, and he's gonna love me even more when I'm out of it." All three girls share a laugh in the moment while getting all pretty for prom tonight.

"I definitely made sure that Chris gets the biggest limo he could find for us tonight." Gabi smiles cheekily at the girls and Sabrina nods.

"I can't actually believe that Zayn is helping spring for the limo and a two bedroom suite with Chris and Keith."

"Girl, it's prom night. That boy's planning on getting some tonight. Don't you agree Ry?" Gabi asks and Ryan giggles.

"Yeah I'm on your side with this one, Gabi." Ryan giggles and Sabrina joins in.

"Maybe, we'll see."

About five minutes of talking and giggling, the girls were excited for their senior prom night, wanting this night to be the best night ever for them.
