It's hard to approach somebody who has a permanent scowl on their face. Because the general rule of thumb was that people who look peeved off, most likely where. But something that was even harder, was to try and make conversation with someone that pissed off. Since generally, most people in a foul mood would rather not be forced to engage in small talk when they are probably considering how hard it'd be to take out everyone in the same general area as them.

When people are annoyed, many describe it as if you're walking on eggshells. Except, instead you're actually walking on many pieces and chunks of smouldering coal. Knowing that with every step you take, no matter how small each one is, that you'll just be feeding the flame in the long run, and that it's probably best to leave it be and let the fire die out.

This is relevant because no other than Forrest Nash, happened to be in a monumentally shitty mood. Most who knew the man would say he always was, and that on a specially rare occasion he might have shared a small smile or nod with you when walking past in the hallway. But today, was different from every other day, because his frustration was something you could feel in the air. Everyone else present at the station that day could feel it from a mile away, and it was safe to say everyone was walking around on their tiptoes.

It was most people at KFAM's lunch break, and by most, it was a large fraction of everyone that day. Obviously this didn't include the poor guy who had his show at the same time whenever everyone else went for lunch. Everyone, who didn't have errands to run or food to pick up, was sitting in the staff room, socialising or trying to force the time to go by faster.

And well, whilst everyone else stood and sat near the kitchen portion of the staff room, Forrest has opted to be by himself and to sit down near the box television at the back. To say that the tension and atmosphere wasn't thick and awkward, would be a complete and utter lie. Whatever had gotten him into a sour mood, had thrown off everyone's work that day, and everyone was wondering how he was going to act when on air.

As everyone made an occasional glance over to the moody man at the other side of the room, all their eyes soon turned to Peggy, the producer that worked alongside Forrest. They all assumed that Peggy, notably the first person Forrest warmed up to, would have some sort of intel on what had him in such a bother.

"You seriously have no clue why he's got such a stick up his ass?" Karen snickered, rolling her eyes as she leaned backwards against one of the cabinets. There was not a single worry on her mind that Forrest could potentially hear her, due to the radio they had blasting on the kitchen counter. "You and John are like, the only two people he can even stand to hold eye contact with." She giggled, some over-exaggeration integrated with her words.

Peggy scowled at her friend, folding her arms as she furrowed her eyebrows. "Not a single clue," She shrugged her shoulders, turning her head around to have a look at the sulking man once again. Forrest was still in the exact same position that he was seen in last time, sitting bored out of his mind of the sofa, scrolling through his phone and not eating. "I can only imagine it's something stupid." She grumbled, knowing she'll have to put up with his bad temper for the rest of the day.

Nosy as always, Karen turned to the other who was standing in their little trio, desperately wanting some sort of insight on this. Not because she really cared, but because workplace drama was the only interesting thing going on right now. "What about you John, any clue on what's going on in his world?" She questioned, curiosity poking through her tone as she looked at the man currently eating someone else's lunch.
