Jisung's POV:I watched as Chan let his hands fall to his sides as he sighed heavily, shaking his head at the ground.
"Don't worry about it," he said. "All you need to know is that Yeosin has been through a lifetime's worth of pain and suffering already. So drop the shitty attitude and judgement before you deal with either Yeosin or me."
Chan then raised his head to look dead into my eyes. I would be lying if I said that what came out of his mouth next didn't scare me.
"I've seen what Yeosin can do to people that make her angry. And trust me, you would want to deal with me."
Yeosin's POV:
I glanced up at the clock just to end up sighing anyway. I powered off the TV and began to gather my things together. I quickly changed into my uniform before double-checking that the children were asleep, locking the front door, and placing the key inside a hidden compartment of the lamp. I zipped up my jacket a little further as the wind set chills throughout my body. I waited patiently at the bus stop, noticing the clouds of air from other people releasing from their mouths. I studied expressions as an older couple shifted closer to each other, a young mother helped her daughter with her gloves, and a man scrolled through his phone.
It was particularly relieving to me to be able to observe others. A person can learn a lot about how people act just by observing the slightest actions, twitches in facial expressions, and the words that are said. It has helped me to understand how Chan feels, especially since he tends to hide his true feelings from the people he loves. Having the time to think, I reluctantly reviewed the memory of our fight. I remember how his eyes turned somewhat downward when I disapproved of Jisung's entrance. I watched as frustration slowly rose and how his body tensed up after his final statement.
I don't want to be the reason for Chan's unhappiness. I don't want to be the only thing holding him back from branching out or even accomplishing his goals and dreams. What kind of friend would I be if I hindered instead of supported. Despite my indefinite hatred towards Jisung, I can't be in the way of their friendship, or the friendship that Jisung has with any of the other members. I have to be the one to step back from the group for a while until things cool down - I have to let them form their own friendships since I am unwilling to form one with Jisung.
I checked my watch again before pulling out my phone to begin texting.

I watched as the bright light from my phone faded to black as I clicked it off. A slight teeth chatter had begun, since my uniform is khakis and a t-shirt, no matter the weather. The restaurant I worked at was open 24/7; during the day, many families came in for the comfort meals and homey feeling it had to it. At night, it was mainly a place for drunk people to have a warm soup so that the hangover wouldn't be so bad the next day. I worked from 10:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. every other day, earning around ninety dollars every shift. Thankfully, the restaurant isn't too busy after 11:00 p.m., so it's an easy paycheck. Despite my sleep being fucked up, I'm decently used to my monotonous schedule and have planned out my days accordingly.
