"I don't know I just have a bad feeling about them." The waitress brings us the salads and we dig in.
"Kendal has proposed a very good proposition for me." My mom says wiping her mouth. I look at her and wipe my mouth. "She thinks if you and her son get married it would make our business better." I nearly choked on my mimosa. "Mama. I'm not marrying someone I don't even know." She looks down embarrassed. "I know honey but if you guys were to marry our business would be more successful than it has ever been."
I shook my head, "so you would be using me for your own business." I scoff "honey you know that I love you, and you would be getting something out of this." I mentally roll my eyes, She can't be fucking serious. "What could I possibly be getting out of a marriage with somebody I don't even know." She sighs "You'd be getting you a nice husband" I stood up from the table. "No. I love you mom but you will not be trying to have some sort of control over my love life. And I've already met someone." I took my wallet out and placed two hundred dollar bills on the table and left.
I was upset, Should I Have a reason to be though? She was only trying to help. But then being married for simply business. Oh hell no, I'm just being used. I can't believe she would even suggest that. I got in my car and drove home. A received a few text messages from Valentina and my mother.
I was a good ten minutes away from my home thankfully. I stopped by my favorite pastry place of course to help calm me down and really think.

I groaned and rubbed my temples looking at this pile of work sitting in front of me. "I have finals the following week after next and my professors being assholes gave me so much work to complete that I will have to study after it's completed." The FaceTime icon showed up. I was contemplating on if I should answer it. I didn't really look my best, girl I was in a bonnet and a oversized t-shirt. My lashes were done but that was it.
