Chapter 1

-Celaena's POV-

I swirled my finger around the glass in front of me as my date continued to babble on and on about something that i didn't even care to pay attention to, but pretended i was listening to him

"...are you even listening?" my date asked, snapping me out of my thoughts

"oh yeah yeah" i gave him a fake smile as i reached for his hand but he pulled it away

"you're lying, you know if you didn't want to go on the date with me, you should've just said no." he snarled before throwing his napkin on the table and storming off

I quickly stood up, embarrassed as all eyes were on me before leaving a little money on the table and walking out the door.

-Jake's POV-

I frowned as I watched her walk down the street crying, she was too beautiful to cry.

That man is going to pay. I thought and growled

"brother are you watching that girl again?" a voice said from behind making me jump

"not at all..." i mumbled, wiping away the hologram that showed her

"For gosh sakes just go down and meet her! you're already her personal stalker!" my brother said as he stood next to me

"i can't just pop down there and meet her...can i?" i questioned as i looked at him

"of course you can Jake! just go to her house, her friend gave me her address" he smirked as he pulled a piece of paper out and handed it to me.

her address... i thought, staring down at the paper with some numbers and some name after it.

"have you been flirting with her friend again?" i asked as loki started to go on a long rant about this friend of hers.

-Celaena's POV-

"he just stormed out??" my friend, Riley said shocked

"yeah he got all mad cause i wasn't listening to him during the date and just left." i said as i held the phone between my shoulder and cheek so I unlocked my door

"wow, he sounds like an ass"

"he really was." i sighed and walked through the door

i sat my keys down on the table next to the door and started to walk down the hall to my room when i saw a shadow move in the living room

oh shit someone broke into my house!

"uhh Riley? are you here?" i asked, trying to keep myself calm

"no... why Celaena is someone there?" she asked, suddenly sounding worried

"yes... i'm gonna go check it out" i said as i grabbed an umbrella as my defense weapon

"be careful!" she said before i sat my phone down

Slowly i stepped into the living room, holding my umbrella up ready to hit the person who was hiding in my living room

"h-hello?" i called, trying to sound brave

Suddenly arms wrapped around my waist and a hand over my mouth before I could scream out

"hello darling" a deep voice whispered in my ear

-Jake's POV-

After listening to my brother go on and on about that friend i decided to leave to go see this girl's house myself. I teleported myself down and stood in front of the large house that she lived in

wow, what a nice house... i thought before walking to the front door. i used magic to unlock the door and swing it open so i could step inside. i turned back and shut it and make it was as before so no one got suspicious of a break in.

I walked throughout the house, glancing at all the photos and things she had inside, even stopping and taking a peek in her drawer full of lacy bras and underwear, i smirked to myself as i thought of requesting to see them later.

As i stood in the living room i heard her door open up and her beautiful voice speak

"he really was" she sighed, i knew she was speaking of the man who stormed off during the date

i turned toward the doorway and saw her freeze, she had saw my movement

"uh Riley, are you here?" she asked the person on the other end whom i assumed was her friend and she got a look of fear on her face as her friend must've told her no.

"i'm gonna check it out" she said before grabbing an umbrella and setting down her phone

cause that's gonna stop me i thought and rolled my eyes as i watched her slowly step into the room, looking around scared of what she might fine

"h-hello?" she called

i stepped towards her and wrapped my arms around her waist and put a hand over her mouth since i know she was about to scream.

"hello darling" i whispered in her ear
