MARCH 1ST, XX17
HARVESTON, SHAFTLANDS
4:20 A.M.

IT was a special morning unlike the mornings from before. The sun was barely rising at this time, the skies still blanketed by a sea of pstars. It was a calm morning. The roosters from the farms around the Felmier estate haven't started crowing yet. Despite it being dark outside, the Felmier family were seen having a picnic near their many apple trees. After all, it was practically tradition to celebrate the start of each month with a picnic before the sun rises.

As the family cheered into the morning, a peculiar star was shining brighter than the others. A short, purple-haired boy pointed his finger to the sky, excitedly telling his family about his discovery. "Ma, Pa! Look, the star ov'r there is movin'!"

The boy's parents laughed as the father proudly ruffled his hair. Yet despite that, his grandma didn't quite have the same reaction. "Come now, Epel," the mother said. "I believe that tha's a shootin' star. Quick, make a wish 'fore it disappears."

The young boy, now known as Epel, closed his eyes and firmly clasped his hands together. There were many things that a boy like him could wish for. He wished to grow tall and strong, with large muscles that could make any wrestler quiver! He wanted his magic to be so powerful that he could just cast some sort of spell for the apples to immediately fall off the tree. But most of all, he wished for someone to play and grow up with; like a sibling of sorts. It was boring to be the only kid in a town with way older people. Having to play alone was no fun at all! So he wished for someone who could keep him company as he grew up. Someone who was kind like meemaw, but also super-duper strong like his uncles!

Beside Epel, his grandma's face turned pale. Seeing shooting stars was a normal occurrence in the countryside as there was no industrial smoke covering up the night sky. And yet, this specific star was different. It somehow shone in a way that was special compared to the other stars in the sky. The elder woman slowly stood up, with the assistance of Epel's uncles, of course. The family surrounding her was worried, it was rare for their meemaw to make that kind of face after all.

And with all that her old muscles could muster, she ran. She ran towards the moving star. The star, seemingly challenging the elder lady, moved quicker. Ignoring the calls of her family from behind, Marja followed the star downhill. The shooting star came closer and closer to the ground until the two were practically running beside each other. And before she could blink, a bright light befell the two.

Marja's family quickly surrounded her as the small Epel worriedly hugged the elderly lady. But despite the worried calls of the family, she could only look on worriedly at the crater the fallen star had created. Usually, there was nothing to fear, as it could just be a simple meteor. And between the worried chatter of the Felmiers who surrounded the impact, a loud shout could be heard.
