Giving Up

I have fought.

And I have failed.

And I have fought.

The road long, my strength spent

And now, as my strength is spent

I see the end; it is in sight.

And even though it is in sight

I wonder if I should give up;

I wonder if they shouldn't bring

My lifeless body across the line;

My lifeless body to victory's side.

But not to finish with success so near?

But not finish when, maybe, I can?

I need a boost to finish;

I need a boost that only You can give.

I cannot finish unless You help, Lord!

I cannot finish without You!

Yes, You are my present help.

Yes, You are always with me.

Yes, You are my very present help.

Yes, with You, I can win.
