Detention

The abuse

Josh's POV

That asshole thinks he can hurt Chase, he doesn't know what's fucking coming.

Evan raised his hand, "Yes?" Mr. Lyle asked him, "May I use the restroom?" Evan responded, "Yes, just be quick." Mr. Lyle stated as he rushed out of the classroom.

I didn't know what he was doing until I got a text message from Chase, it was a photo of Chase with a, Black eye, bloody nose and a long cut down his chin.

"Mr. Caden, is there a reason to be on your phone?" Mr. Lyle asked me, and I showed him my phone screen. He let me go down to the restroom to check on Chase.

I looked around and heard a laugh coming from a stall and a trail of blood towards it.

I pushed open the stall and a stared in fear as I saw Chase passed out, and Evan laughing.

"I see you got the photo..." Evan said with a pause, "i said if I couldn't have you no one can, and don't worry, your little toy is fine." I stare at him with fear and anger.

All I could say was, "What did you do..?" And feel the rage.

And the rage over took me, and I pushed Evan against the wall, and repeated, "Why?!"

I almost punched him until Mr. Lyle walked in.

"Office- NOW!" He screamed as we ran out of the bathroom, I looked back in fear seeing Chase on the ground.

"You boys want to tell me why you were gonna fight in the washroom?" Said the principal.

"I really don't know Ma'am, he just tried to punch me!" Evan said trying to pretend he was innocent.

"Evan, the passed out kid says otherwise." Said the principal.

"How do you know if it wasn't Josh?" He asked. "I showed the photo that you sent to Mr. Lyle, that's how." I replied.

"And there is camera footage of you being the only person to enter the bathroom, after Chase of course." She said.

"Why would you do this?" She asked him, he just stayed silent, "Josh, do you know why?" She then asked me.

"Oh yes, as he stated, 'If I can't have you, no one can.' He tried to kill my boyfriend, so I would have no one." I replied she immediately called his mother.

"I wasn't going to kill him, just wanted him to know to stay away from you." Evan said, "He was bloody, bruised and had scars, that's not teaching him, that's abusing him!" I said as the bell rang and I was sent back to class.

12:00 pm

"WHAT THE FUCK DID HE DO TO MY BROTHER?" Zoe yelled at me, "Chase was bloody and bruised. And Evan only did it so Chase would leave me." I said.

"Wassup.. why are y'all like mad and upset?" Ethan asked as he walked up, "And where is Chase?" He finished.

"In the hospital, you didn't know, your brother beat the crap out of Chase." I said, "WHAT?!?" Ethan yelled.

"And Josh is the only reason Chase is alive, who knows what Evan could have done!" Zoe stated, she was right.

........................ Chase's POV 1:00 pm
I woke up and looked around as my head started to spin, and I noticed Josh sitting in a chair talking to a doctor.

"So will he-" Josh stopped as he noticed I was awake, he ran over and hugged me, "You're awake!" He said with tears slowly rolling down his face.

"What- what happened?" I asked, he looked at me with fear, "Evan happened , I found you bloody and bruised, while Evan was laughing... I thought you were dead!"

I laughed, even if it was true, I would be happy to, yes I'd miss Josh and Zoe and Ethan and maybe Damien, but if I was dead, I wouldn't have to constantly fear if Evan was gonna try to kill me, or actually kill me.

"I'm a mischief maker." I whispered in Joshes ear, "Chase... you actually could have died, that wouldn't be funny...." Josh told me with a serious tone.

Someone knocked on the door and before I could react Zoe opened the door and Ethan followed behind her, "CHASE!" She looked at me with fear as she hugged me.

"What do you remember?" I slowly recalled, Walking into the restroom, seeing Evan enter, trying to hide, and get hit in then head by a stall door, then I blacked out.

So I told them exactly that, "That asshole!" Zoe mumbled.

"What the fuck are we gonna do?" Josh exclaimed, clearly stressed, "Well good news, Evan is suspended for the rest of the year, and failed and is gonna be in 11th grade for another year."

Ethan smiled still a little stunned.

After about half an hour they left to let me get some rest, I slept until a knock was heard on the door, I looked through and start shaking as I noticed who's in the window.

I stopped shaking when I noticed someone escorting Evan away... it was Josh!

I ended up falling asleep again.
