As he waited on the rooftop, his hands fidgeting with the bouquet of roses and box of heart-shaped chocolates, Darius couldn't help but let his mind wander. A flashback of him meticulously selecting the flowers and chocolates played in his mind, each choice made with careful consideration to convey his true feelings.

Minutes turned into what felt like hours, and just as Darius began to worry that Anastasia wouldn't show, his eyes caught sight of Anastasia ascending the stairs. Time seemed to stand still as he drank in her beauty, his breath catching at the sight of her. Her radiant smile illuminated the space, and he couldn't help but notice how her hair danced and swayed in the gentle breeze, framing her face like a halo. The sunlight played upon her locks, accentuating their lustrous shine. In that moment, Darius couldn't help but be captivated by her ethereal presence, feeling a surge of admiration for the incredible woman before him.

Anastasia's eyes widened as she noticed Jason recording, a mix of confusion and hurt crossing her face. She turned to Darius, her voice laced with disappointment. "Doing all of this as a dare? Really?" she asked, her voice filled with a tinge of sadness.

Darius's heart shattered at the misunderstanding. Panic set in as he watched Anastasia turn to storm off, his hand instinctively reaching out to grab her wrist. "It was never a dare, Anastasia," he pleaded, his voice filled with genuine sincerity. "I really do like you. When will you ever trust me?"

Anastasia turned to face him, her gaze filled with a mix of hesitation and longing. "In 1,000 years," she replied, her voice laced with a hint of vulnerability.

"Make it more reasonable!" he shouted as she walked away.

"Twenty, then."

"More."

"Fine! Ten, are you happy now?" And with those words, she walked away, leaving Darius standing on the rooftop, his heart heavy with unspoken words and unanswered questions.

In a fit of rage, Darius turned to Jason, his voice dripping with venom. "You think this is funny? You think it's amusing to toy with people's emotions? I'm done with you guys and everyone else, all you care about is making people feel bad and humiliating innocent people? Do you not feel any guilt?" His words cut through the air, carrying the weight of his shattered trust.

Jason's smirk faltered. "Darius, it was just a prank, man. Don't have to be such an emotional freak about it," he stated, his voice laced with mockery.

But Darius was no longer interested in Jason's feeble remarks. The betrayal he felt ran deep, overshadowing any friendship they once had. Without another word, Jason left the rooftop leaving Darius alone. As he stood alone on the rooftop, the wind whipped around him, carrying echoes of his unspoken words and the shattered fragments of his dreams. In that moment, Darius vowed to repair the damage he had unknowingly caused, to prove to Anastasia that his feelings were genuine, and to earn back her trust, even if it took ten long years.

As I ascended the stairs, my heart filled with a mix of anticipation and nervousness. I couldn't help but notice Darius standing on the rooftop, his hands fidgeting with a bouquet of roses and a box of heart-shaped chocolates. I felt a flutter of excitement, wondering what he had planned.

However, as I approached, my smile wavered when I saw Jason recording the scene. Confusion and hurt washed over me, and I turned to Darius, my voice betraying my disappointment. "Doing all of this as a dare? Really?" I asked, unable to hide the sadness in my tone.

Darius's pleading voice reached my ears, filled with genuine sincerity. "It was never a dare, Anastasia," he assured me, his grip on my wrist tightening. "I really do like you, When will you ever trust me?"
