Quackity's POV:

Alex Quackity's parents where wolf hunters. His mother was an expert, and taught him everything she knew, along with how to tell the difference between a full, mostly harmless wolf, and the ones that could change shape to look like humans. Hybrids. Those where more dangerous because you never see or hear anything until it's too late. Some become a full human lookalike, often copying appearances of tourists, and lure people in walks in the forest to become their next meal. Others who don't change very often or keep to themselves will keep their ears and tail, as well as the blood red eyes they're all born with. They hide them relatively well, Some better than others.

Quackity, also known as Big Q, has 2 fiancés. Karl and Sapnap. They met when they joined the SSOWHAT (Secret Society of Werewolf Hunters and Trappers. Long name, right) at 18.

He joined because he liked the woods, and to get revenge on the Hybrid who ended his parents life's. They had left the house due to their boss informing them of a rouge Hybrid who escaped one of the reserves facilities. Every Hunter and Trapper was provided a nice, really big condo that, at the minimum, 2 people could live in. There were guest rooms, but hardly anyone used them. Mainly because not everyone lived there. Quackity was one of the 58 people who did live there. He was paid well due to his status, but he had grown fond of the views and living there with his fiancés.

He had the 6:00am-1:00pm shift. A shift that lasted about 7 hours. Not ideal, but his boss sends out some strange type of car to get him so he doesn't have to walk back. Karl and Sapnap had the same schedule, but only on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They also started at 7:00. It was random, but there was about 100,000-500,000 miles of land. The company Quackity worked for was not trying to make Hybrids go "extinct", but keep them in a controlled area. Quackity didn't like the sound of it one bit, he knew they had feelings and languages and families, but he couldn't do anything. He signed a contract, and he was determined to find the "blonde" hybrid who threw a tantrum and decided to kill his family.

Why they where called hunters and trappers? Because in some positions, a Hunter had to bring a bear trap looking thing, and use it as bait. It was about the size of an average human torso to ensure they could catch one, even in human form. Oldest trick in the book. Quackity was apparently "so good at his job" that he didn't need a trap. He could use the taxer looking thing to stun the hybrid and let the higher-ups deal with it. They had radios and special teleportation devices just for that scenario. He felt bad stunning them, because he knew it was so much more painful than a little tingle. He knew they hurt. But nothing else worked.

"Have fun!" Sapnap told Quackity, sipping his coffee. "Will do. And sorry again for my alarm waking you up." He replied. "Don't sweat it. At least Karl didn't hear it. He is not a morning person." Quackity giggled as he slipped on his jacket. The brunette always fell asleep on the couch after 10 minutes after waking up. He's spilt his tea multiple times. "See you in a few hours! Love you!" Sapnap said, kissing Quackity on the forehead. "Love you too!" He replied, repeating the gesture. He walked into their room and gave Karl a gentle kiss on the cheek and a hug. He pulled the blanket further over his fiancés shoulders and whispered a "Love you" to him.

Little did he know, he would not see either of the boys again until he died. They had the morning shift. On the opposite part of Quackity.
The same Hybrid picked up his scent on the duo.

He saw nothing but brush and overgrowth until 12:30. He needed to finish his route.

He heard the snap of metal about 20 feet away from him. He drew his taser, just in case. He could hear the noise dying down and whimpering become more faint. He pushed past a branch and walked into the small clearing. There was one of the bigger traps, and inside was a hybrid. The one who's ears and tail didn't go away. He carefully approached the now limp body facing away from him. There wasn't much blood, but it still looked pretty bad. Something inside Big Q told him to not radio the high up's. He felt horrible for the Hybrid. He had the most gorgeous curly dark brown hair Quackity had ever seen. No, the thought. I'm about to get married in like 2 years. Just ring up Sam and tell him. Quackity pulled out his radio, but stopped. "I'm gonna get in so much trouble for this..." he muttered to himself. He pulled out one of his emergency teleportation scrolls. He knelt down and carefully pulled the metal out of the Hybrid's body. He was still alive. Now there was more blood. His hands quickly turned red. He was so dumb. This is so illegal. He could get fired and lose everything. That voice was still screaming at him to help the poor guy. It wasn't right to treat them like this.  He successfully got the trap wide enough to step on both sides of it and lift the shockingly tall man onto his shoulder. This was disgusting. He would need to wash his clothes about 5 times. He grabbed the scroll, read it, and he was gone in the blink of an eye.

.................

Thankfully, Sapnap and Karl hadn't gotten home yet. He set the Hybrid down on his bathroom floor and questioned his actions. Now he had to explain to his boss how he got home by himself, and why there was an unconscious hybrid on his floor. He needed to call Puffy, his neighbor and mother figure. No matter what he had done or said, she would always be on his side. He washed his hands and walked out the door to door number 407. He knocked and waited. It opened. "Hello- oh , Hi Quack! Need something?" She asked. Her hair was  white and curly with a rainbow as the bottom layer. "Yeah, hi. Uhm... could
You come over to mine? I have a REALLY weird thing I need help with.." he said in an awkward tone. "And could you bring your first aid kit? If you have one." "Say no more. Wait here." She said, going back inside. She came out a moment later with a white plastic box and a red + symbol. "Honey, I'm Dream's mom. He's so clumsy. Let's go!" She giggled. He nodded and led her to the bathroom. "Well. I didn't expect that. Doesn't matter. I'll fix him up. I won't snitch. Go relax, Q." She said. He trusted her word and left.

It was 5 when Quackity woke up. He hadn't realized he fell asleep. He stood up and looked around. Neither Sapnaps nor Karl's shoes where by the door. Maybe they went to get dinner?

"Quackity?"

Puffy walked over.

"There's something Sam told me he thought I should tell you. He said it didn't feel right for anyone else to say it.."

"They found 2 rings... both have names carved into them... I think you already know... I'm so sorry..." she told him, sitting next to him. The world seemed to come to a stop as he reached over and held her without making any sound. He didn't cry. He was planning on breaking the engagement and only being friends, but it still hurt. So bad. He loved them both. The two best partners he could ever asked for.

Puffy handed him the rings and he gripped them with all his strength.

Sleep creeped up on him before he was ready.

Author's note: I think this is a great start to the book, what do you think? Don't like the ending of
The chapter and how quickly they died? Too bad it's my thing I can do what I want. So much power
