I never thought I would lose the one I love. Maybe I just never thought that there would be a me and him. Before I go on, my name is Brooke. I never thought this year , everything would just happen like this. It all started when I walked into science on the first day of school.
I walked into the humid room greeting Mrs.Grata for the first time . I sat down with my friend Taylor and that's when I saw Cameron. He was tall and kinda cute. As the days went on we all started talking more and more . As the days went on me and him started getting closer in a way. There was just something about him that attracted me . He was just so funny and even when he wasn't trying to be funny I would just smile just by one glance. I would always deny that I like him until that night. I had my friends over Aja and Angelique. We were all laughing and having a heart to heart. That's when Aja said "I used to like Cameron."
Then I said "I kinda like hime now.."
"Oh wow." said Angelique. Angelique was one of 4 our slower friends but we loved her anyway.
It was an awkward moment that lasted for two seconds. The whole night we were just laughing and having a good night. In the mist of that Angelique got a call from Isaiah. Isaiah would be considered and "old flame" being we went out 6 times.
"Hey guys" he said with his deep like voice.
"heyy " we all said in unison . It was like we were little school girls for a quick five minutes. He got right to the point and wanted to speak to Aja. Aja is one of those pretty girls who you know not to mess with . Isaiah was one of those very convincing guys. He had a way with seducing words. Which is a reason I got pulled in so many times .
Aja's mom came to pick her up and it was a good night. Before that Angelique said "Isaiah said call him "
In my head I thought "ugh" . He always seems to want my advice on something but he never takes it. That night I never called him , but he called me.
"What's up"he asked.
"Nothing really "
"So what do you think about me asking Aja out," he asked "I need someone"
He always felt lonely when he never has someone. It was like he was vulnerable when it came to love.
"Well I don't know, I gotta go." I said
The next morning I got a call from Isaiah.
"Heyy." he said .
"yeah, I just woke up." I said thinking maybe he'll have some consideration knowing he woke me up .
"You sound good when you wake up!" he said jokingly as always.
"So what do you think about my idea?" he asked.
" I mean yeah , do what you want just don't hurt her."
"I mean I won't but I have other choices too"
"Just be careful ," I said "make good decisions." I warned him.
"Brooke," he said my name in a worried voice.
"I love you" he added. I rolled my eyes because he tossed that word around.
"Brooke say it back. "
"Fine. I love you too."
