My surroundings darken; there is no one to guide me. For once, I cry my heart out, pouring out blood from my mouth. Staining my sheets with sobs and pain that could never be fixed. But maybe there is something—something that could give me just a light of hope. The thought of disappearing comes to mind more often than not. A small shadow struts into my room. It's furry face nuzzling my legs like a needy child. It stared into my eyes, begging to be picked up. It utters a soft, gentle meow that if a single person were to talk, the sound could not be heard. Its soft and fluffy tail wraps around my arms, purring softly. A tear falls down my cheek—warmness fills my body as I embrace it. Its beady small eyes glistens under the barren dark moonlight. The void I thought that couldn't be filled was quickly changed while I held my feline friend.
I love cats, so much.
