DRS2: Caring Hearts

It all started here...

"LUKE, I'M PREGNANT." She mustered all her courage to say it, still expecting him to be happy but it seems like what they always say is true. Expectation is tantamount to disappointment.

"With whom?" he said meekly, his eyes burning with anger and unknown emotions.

"You, of course. I never slept with anyone." She said whispering. This is not what she came here for.

"Liar. You are actually saying that in my face?" he laughed dubiously, the smell of liquor evident in his breath. "You are a slut, Margareth."

Bastardo! She just felt her right hand landed on his left cheek, hot liquid pouring down her eyes. She should not be feeling this way. It is not her fault that their encounters had created a life inside her womb. "You have no right to call me a slut, bastardo!" she tried to compose herself again, not wanting to affect the health of their-her-baby. "You are right, this is not yours. This is mine alone."

"Margot-" she cuts him off before he could insult her further.

"I just came here to tell you that I am having a child, but I think you do not want me anymore, so I guess I will just go to this child's real dad." I am so sorry, baby, but your father is a bastardo! I need to lie for us. "Besides, he is much greater than you." She said, wiping her tears.

"Whore." He silently cursed under his breath. She still could not believe that she slept with this man, this cruel man who just called her a slut and a whore.

"Adios, Lucas." She bids him with dignity and she left the room, leaving the man she loves.

Leaving everything behind, including him.
